Hey All,
It is a with a heavy heart that I have made the decision to close The Bull Pen until further notice.
After the Government’s announcement yesterday I feel that it is the best interests of members, friends and families.
We are still a community and though you might not be able to hit the HEAVIES at home I will be putting up some daily work outs for anyone who might like to kick it from the comfort of their home.
If you have any suggestions or requests, please get in touch. You can message me on the social media pages and I will do my upmost to get back to you ASAP!

Who am I?
I am Amy.
I am a Crossfit Level 1 Coach and a British Weightlifting Level 1 Coach and I am planning to attend more courses throughout the year.
I have been at Crossfit Central Lancaster for 2 ½ years and began coaching in The Bull Pen November 2019.
I coach because I love working with people, I love watching them work towards their full potential. I also love that the skills and strengths they practice in the gym they get to take out into the outside world with them.
My personal love involves moving anything heavy! Especially an awkward object!
So why The Bull Pen?
The Bull Pen is a place to build strength. Both mentally and physically. The Bull Pen is also a place to set high standards for yourself to empower your performance and be the best possible version of you.

"What I like the most about the program is simply that it works. My goal is to get stronger and to improve my performance in other sports, such as CrossFit. After a few weeks I started to notice that I've gained muscle mass and that my squat, deadlift and bench are heavier and safer.
Another thing I really appreciate is the body awareness that I have gained. It's an understanding not only HOW to move, but also WHY to move like that.

The why's of warm up???
Ever wonder why coaches spend so much time on the warm up before getting into the nitty gritty of that heavy lift or spicy AMRAP?
The benefits of an effective warm up are endless, including arousing the CNS, increasing blood flow to muscles, etc.
CrossFitFootball refer to this as "Gettin’ your chilli hot!

But each warm up will be specific to your training day! If you look closely the warm up will include positions and movements that strengthen and reinforce posture, increase mobility and challenge stability.
This is why at The Bull Pen our athletes are engrained to warm up in solid positions and postures so they are able to carry that over into their training!
