🟫🟫⬛️🟫 We are honered to promote Alex to brown belt this evening 👏👏

Alex has a long and extremely impressive MMA career behind him as one of the absolute top people in the UK during his era.
His grappling skills are diverse and very high level, which he combines with an amazingly athletic and capable body. This makes him an extremely fun, challenging and valuable roll for everyone.
As Michael said, 'when you are touching Alex, it is like you are touching gold'.

Alex has black belt level skills but has only recently been training in the Gi consistently, so we have not been able to grade him until now.

Congratulations and great work on earning this accolade AlexM 👏🥋🤎

🥇 Absolutely dominant run for Karl at the South Yorkshire Open today 👏👏

Karl got merged down an age bracket but this was absolutely no problem for him. He played his well-practiced halfguard game and used it to get on top and dominate both matches for gold.
He took any opening that was given to him and won all the exchanges with no points scored against him. What a performance 👏👏

A 9-0 and 13-0 win for the gold medal 🥇
Even better is that Karl felt calmer than his previous outings, really reaping the benefits of more comp experience.

Congrats to our rising young star William Summers on his grey belt awarded last night! William has been working hard at all facets of the game recently, with high aspirations, and that work is really paying off in his results in both competitions and interclubs! Never one to rest upon early success, Will has worked on all aspects of his game, wrestling, passing, guard and submissions to be in a very strong place to build upon going forwards!

Especially impressive and testament to his excellent attitude and growth mindset, Will has specifically gone into competitions recently with the goal of working on parts of his game that he knows aren’t usually his strongest, with the particular goal of improvement and growth. A true Kaizen attitude!

🟫🟫⬛️🟫 Huge congratulations to Alistair on his promotion to brown belt tonight 👏👏

Alistair has been a member from Kaizen's beginning and is well deserving of the next level after over 15 years of training on the mats!

Alistair mostly trains during the day and is a big asset in helping with testing new techniques and refine systems.
He has helped Kaizen go from a melting pot of different styles from all kinds of places to the streamlined, Danaher-esque systems we teach today and we are very grateful for that!

Congratulations again Alistair 👏🥋
