🟡🟣⚫️ Microleague 2026 ⚫️🟣🟡

A HUGE well done to both of our Microleague teams at the weekend for the final round of the 2026 season!

First up on Saturday morning was our B Team in Blackpool, who put in some fantastic swims to finish 5th with 210 points, just 3 points off 4th place!

Then it was the turn of our A Team, who also had a brilliant day of racing, finishing 5th with 211 points!

And that brings our 2026 Microleague season to a close!

🟣 Final Standings 🟣
A Team – 4th in Division B with 632 points
B Team – 6th in Division C with 580 points

A huge well done to all of our fantastic swimmers who have represented Otters throughout this year’s Microleague. There have been some brilliant swims, great racing and amazing team spirit!

A massive thank you to our wonderful coaches and team managers poolside for all their encouragement and support throughout the season, and of course to our fantastic parents for the brilliant cheering, support and those all-important cow bells!!

Well done Team Otters! 🦦

Otters wish Clara Spence to our former club captain and all the best in the future, i hope you continue swimming. Clara's heading to Manchester Uni to study music. She has been a role model at Otters to all the younger swimmers and a pleasure to coach. Good luck and all the best Clara from Team Otters.

Last night we said good bye and good luck to Luke Horton who is heading off to Uni. A great example to our younger swimmers to look up too. Supporting them through Leadership and coaching before his own swimming session. Good Luck and All the best. Team Otters.

⚫️🟣🟡 Swim Camp - Day 7 🟡🟣⚫️

And just like that, our final session is done!

We finished the week with a Biathle – a continuous run, swim, run - a brilliant (and tiring!) way to end an amazing week. A special well done to Elijah, who clocked the quickest time!

We rounded everything off with our awards ceremony, celebrating all the swimmers’ successes from across the week. Every single swimmer has been absolutely amazing – they’ve worked hard, thrown themselves into everything and most importantly, had SO much fun!

A huge thank you to our wonderful coaches Ronnie, Stu, Kate and Adam. You’ve given our swimmers such an incredible opportunity – fantastic sessions in the pool, plenty of laughs out of it and memories they’ll be talking about for a long time!

And of course, we can’t forget our amazing Jen, who has been there for our swimmers every step of the way, supporting and looking after them throughout.

What a week, what a team and what a camp! 🐙

Now… HOME FOR A REST!

⚫️🟣🟡 Swim Camp - Day 6 🟡🟣⚫️

And that’s a wrap on our last coached session of Swim Camp 2026! Just the Stand Up Swim and Biathle to go tomorrow!

As you can see, the coaching team are still going strong…just about!

Special mention to Esme H! During his session, former World No.1 breaststroker James Parrack picked Esme out for her remarkable natural body position in the glide; high up in the water and was a standout! Well done, Esme!

One more day to go!
