📣TRAINING TIMES📣

We are excited to announce that training kicks off on Tuesday 8th of October! Whether you’re able to make both sessions or you can only join us for part of one, we’d love to see you there.

For the first two weeks there is a grace period so no memberships are required to attend training however by the 22nd of October, you’ll need a sport Lancaster membership or an annual gym membership that includes sport Lancaster. We will also be asking for our own cricket memberships to be paid around this time too.

During the freshers and the taster sessions, the exec will explain everything about memberships, what they include, and how to pay. Feel free to talk to any of us in person if you have any queries or concerns — we’re here to help!

We can’t wait to see you at the freshers fair tomorrow! 🏏

MEET THE EXEC‼️

Completing this year’s LUWCC exec posts, we’re thrilled to introduce our new Health and Safety officer, Sharanki Gaandan.

Returning after a year away on work placement, we’re over the moon to have Shaz back with us! She’s always been a dedicated member of the club, giving it her all at training and providing the club with a few giggles thanks to her fielding antics.

Shaz is always up for a good laugh on socials and can often be found belting out some tunes at karaoke with her fellow exec members. Her positive energy, approachable nature and infectious smile make her the perfect fit for this role!

As she enters her final year, we know Shaz will bring her health and safety expertise to ensure the welfare of all our members is in good hands. We can’t wait to see what she’ll bring to the table this season.

MEET THE EXEC‼️

Now it’s time to say hello to our new Treasurer, Lucy Sackfield!

Known for her kindness and caring nature, Lucy is one of the more responsible and sharp-minded members on the exec. She brings a perfect mix of humour, intelligence and maturity to the team. As she joins the exec for the first time, we know she’ll bring her enthusiasm and dedication to this important role.

Last year, Lucy was awarded Most Improved for her outstanding progress in training and her growing confidence in the sport. A true supporter of the club, Lucy can always be heard cheering the team on. Aside from her love for cricket, Lucy is an avid F1 fan and can often be found glued to an F1 race, no matter what she’s up to (even at socials).

We are confident Lucy is going to do an amazing job as Treasurer, keeping our finances in check, and can’t wait to see her shine in this role!

MEET THE EXEC‼️

Next up to finish off our presidency duo, please meet our Vice-President, Elena Armstrong!

Having now been part of the club for 2 years, Elena has made herself rather well known within the club. With her unique bowling action and all the baked goodies that she brings to socials, she is definitely a fabulous asset to our club. She is an excellent team player and is a real representation of team spirit.

When Elena isn’t at a social or training, she can always be found baking or cooking something quite extraordinary if we must say so ourselves. The poached pears that featured in a BeReal will never be forgotten about (see above photos).

Elena, although a fresh face on the exec team, has been a committed member to our club and therefore we have no doubt she will work very well with Eve in leading our club for the year. Go well Elena!

MEET THE EXEC‼️

To complete the captaincy duo, we give a warm welcome to our Vice-Captain, Jemaira Vestey!

Another fresh addition to the exec who is known for her endless positivity and drive for team success. Jemaira can always be relied upon on away days to keep the morals high as well as providing entertainment on the bus. Her energy is contagious and feeds into everything she does, particularly when it comes to Just Dance.

Last season, she kept us all entertained by making up exec roles, which just shows how much she cares about the club. Her dedication was on full display during key matches like Roses and the Premier League play-offs, where she stepped up and delivered when it mattered most.

You will most certainly hear her before you see her, she’s always the loudest and most encouraging voice on the field. We know that she will thrive in the captaincy duo with Emily and can’t wait to see what they achieve together this season!

MEET THE EXEC‼️

Continuing with this year’s LUWCC exec posts, we proudly introduce our President, Eve Drury.

Stepping into the role after a fantastic run as social sec, Eve brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the committee. As she enters her final year, she’s ready to take the reins and lead our club for the exciting year ahead. Whether it’s on the field or behind the scenes, she consistently goes above and beyond what is expected of her.

Eve is one you can count on in an hour of need, especially on a night out. You can often find her singing karaoke and she never misses a chance to hop on a TikTok trend. (Follow our TikTok ) She’s always up for a chat and takes every opportunity to support the team both on and off the field.

Eve is a true icon and we can’t wait to see what amazing things she will do this year!

MEET THE EXEC‼️

To kick start this year’s LUWCC exec posts, we have our Captain, Emily Renshaw.

A new face on the exec, who has got some big boots to fill following the former captain, Dee’s outstanding year of captaincy. However, we are confident that Emily will step into this role with ease, bringing energy, new ideas and a sense of fun to the already amazing team that we have!

She can more or less be found wearing her Cheshire County kit at training with a Pepsi Max on her at all times. She loves a cheeky spar meal deal as well as boogie in sugar after a social.

With her leadership, this role and the team is in excellent hands and we’re excited to see what she has in store!
