⚽️ Weekend Round Up ⚽️
Under 10s 💛 v Cambusdoon
Really good performance from the girls this morning against a really good team.
We played a couple of formations and most played a couple of positions within that. All put the hard work in, still struggling to get up the park sometimes but once they did they attacked really well and put pressure on the opposition. Maggie opened the scoring with a well taken finish, we then lost a couple of goals but Aspen brought it back level with a great run and finish.
The girls didn’t give up, they were unlucky not to at least get back to level towards the end of the game as they pushed forward and could’ve scored another 2 or 3 goals on another day.
A really good performance though and a lot to be proud of 👏

Isla McCutcheon
Tough call as there were a lot of good things happening. This time it goes to Isla, covered every inch of the pitch, always does her bit defensively to help the team and has even stopped complaining when I tell her she’s playing in defence. The constant practice out the back garden is paying off and she’s become a real asset to the team. Well played Isla.
Under 12 Golds 💛 v Glenburn
Excellent effort by the Golds this morning.
Definitely one of the best performances we’ve seen from them.
Worked hard together, battled for each other.
The communication improved as the game went on and it was brilliant to see them all taking their time, controlling the ball and looking for the right pass.
Alice was dominant in goal, making some good saves and coming off her line and collecting the ball confidently.
Sophia and Robyn covered each other well in defence and played some great balls into midfield.
Indie and Luci didn’t stop running out wide, getting into excellent positions and both were unlucky not to score.
Freya worked hard in the middle and grew in confidence as the game went on, getting a goal along the way.
Up top Ella & Cora didn’t stop running, always offering to receive the ball and getting into some great positions. Cora grabbing 2 goals for herself, one and excellent left foot volley from a corner and the other and true strikers goal with a tap in on the line much to Lucis dismay 🙈😂
Rachel & Ruby stepped in last minute and set an excellent example to the girls about composure, communication and positioning. Ruby scoring 3 excellent goals from taking a great first touch and letting a shot go from the edge of the box. Something us coaches have been telling the girls for a while, Ruby put it into practise today perfectly.
Team: Alice, Sophia, Robyn, Freya, Luci, Indie, Cora, Ella, Rachel, Ruby

Ruby Mackie
Ruby dominated from start to finish, controlling the midfield, bringing the wide players into the game and scoring 3 great goals from outside the box.
Under 12 Pinks 🩷 v Stewarton
The girls were on fire from the first whistle, creating chance after chance. Credit to the Stewarton goalkeeper who made some fantastic saves to keep the score down early on.
The deadlock was finally broken when Rodger smashed a brilliant effort into the top corner! 🚀 Soon after it was 2, before Rodger completed her hat-trick.
With the girls picking their own teams for the second half, we weren't quite sure how things would go, but the goals kept coming! Amelia, Kayla, Abbie A and Rhiannon all got on the scoresheet before Rodger added her fourth of the day.
The defence was just as impressive, with Kayla, Sophie, Paige, Rhiannon and Amelia all putting in tremendous shifts to protect Arabella's goal. And whenever anything did get through, Arabella was there to make the save.
A special mention for Leah, who never stopped running all game. She created plenty of chances for her teammates and did everything but score. Her energy, effort and determination were outstanding from start to finish.
Most importantly, the teamwork, attitude and smiles on display were fantastic. Every single player contributed to a brilliant team performance.

Amelia Mitchell
Amelias skill & control stood out today. Skilful in possession, strong in the tackle, deservedly scoring a good goal. Good up front, excellent in defence. A real all round display.
Under 14 Gold 💛 & Pink 🩷
Unfortunately both teams had their game cancelled this weekend. A disappointing weekend for the 24 girls ready to play.
Thanks to Largs Colts Football Club for the use of Bowencraig while Barrfields hosted the cup finals today.
Well done to Largs Thistle 2012s for bringing the cup home 🏆👏
