Another championship over for this year, and after a change of day due to the weather, it turned into a fantastic day of racing! 🚣🏻

Conditions were still challenging and the competition was strong, with some close finishes especially in the Ladies Quad, who raced right to the line, just missing out on 3rd place.

No podium finishes for us this time, but there were some great performances from all our crews, and we couldn’t be prouder of everyone who represented the club yesterday ❤️🖤

Thanks to Wicklow Rowing Club and Swift Racing Boats Ireland for hosting a great event.

Next event is the Junior Championships!

This Sunday, we’ll be hitting the road again and heading to Wicklow for the Swift Racing Senior Endurance Regatta, hosted by Wicklow Rowing Club 🚣🏻

We’re delighted to have 8 crews entered and looking forward to a great day of racing!

Sometimes you’ve just got to make a few upgrades…
Our crew reveal has had a refresh…
After all, why settle for the original when you can improve on it? 😉

Good luck to all our crews and all the other clubs taking part. 🍀

Go Team Dhu ❤️🖤

The last few weeks of rowing have certainly brought a bit of everything! Heading out in the sunshine and coming back feeling like winter had arrived early!
Some great sessions in the bag as we build towards the Senior Championship this weekend and Monster the Loch in September while also getting new juniors out on the water and introducing them to the joys (and occasional soaking!) of coastal rowing.
Here’s a few wet and dry shots from recent sessions.. because coastal rowing wouldn’t be coastal rowing without a bit of both ❤️🖤

Good luck to all our juniors awaiting their results tomorrow and next week!
Whatever the marks, remember you’re all stars 🌟 and your results don’t define you. Keep shining! ❤️🖤

Shout out to two of our juniors, Rory and Emily, who took part in the Rowing Ireland Get Going Get Rowing programme in July. They’d a great time getting some experience river rowing and learning to sweep in an 8!

This is a great programme and is open to 12-16 year olds. No experience necessary. Still a few places available, just click on the link for more information.

After a couple of busy racing weekends, it was definitely time for a bit of fun at the club ❤️🖤

The weather held up, crews were drawn out of a hat, and we spent the afternoon having some fun races up and down the bay (with water pistols for the coxes adding a bit of extra fun!)
Followed by hot dogs on the bbq!

It was nice to take a step back, relax and enjoy some fun on and off the water.
A great afternoon with good company, plenty of laughs and a few soggy coxes! .. or one in particular 😉.
