⭐ MEMBER SPOTLIGHT ⭐
This week, we’re shining the spotlight on someone who has been part of the BeFIT family for an amazing 15 years, our wonderful Fay! 💜
Fay’s BeFIT journey hasn’t always been a straight line. She’s been an on-and-off member over the years, but no matter how long she’s been away, it’s always been a pleasure to welcome her back with open arms.
Testimonial ✅️
"I’ve been part of the BeFIT family for a long time – going all the way back to the days when we were based in St Anthony’s PS, doing Zumba and Tonetastic!
Over the years, BeFIT has been part of so many different chapters of my life. From Zumba classes to climbing Ben Nevis and having some absolutely brilliant surf days in Portrush, fitness has always been something I’ve enjoyed.
I’ve always been naturally quite athletic and had a strong build, but towards my late 30s the weight started to creep on. I eventually managed to lose it, but now, being back in my late 40s, I’ve found the journey much harder and much slower.
Living with a progressive illness has also thrown in challenges that I never expected. There have been times when my health has made exercise, consistency and even just getting through the week much harder than they used to be. But I’ve learned that progress doesn’t have to be fast to be progress.
And this is where BeFIT has been so important to me.
The support, encouragement and understanding from the coaches have made such a difference. They know when to push me, when to adapt things and, just as importantly, when to remind me that I’m doing better than I think I am.
I’ve actually left BeFIT and come back several times over the years, but that’s one of the things I love most about it. Every time you return, it’s as if you’ve never been away.
The coaches welcome you back, and so do the BeFITters you’ve shared classes, sweat, laughs and challenges with over the years. There’s no judgement and no feeling that you have to start from scratch socially.
It genuinely has that family feeling.
And now, looking at these two pictures, I can see just how far I’ve come again. The picture on the left is from May 2025, and the one on the right is September 2026.
This time around, it hasn’t been about getting quick results or chasing a number on the scales. It’s about getting stronger, feeling better and proving to myself that even with the challenges my health brings, I can still make progress.
I’m definitely not finished yet. I’m only getting started again. 💪💜
Here’s to the next chapter, the next challenge and seeing just how far I can go.
Thank you BeFIT, for always welcoming me home. 💜"
