Do any of these sound familiar? 👀
A child who is always dancing around the house, singing along to every song and putting on performances for family and friends may already have a love for the performing arts… they just need the right place to explore it.
Our Summer School of Performing Arts offers children the opportunity to immerse themselves in dance, musical theatre, acting and acrobatics alongside like-minded young performers.
Across four inspiring days, they’ll develop new skills, grow in confidence, work collaboratively and experience the excitement of creating and performing as part of a team.
No experience needed. Just enthusiasm, imagination and a willingness to give it a go.

Huge congratulations to our junior student Vogue who has successfully auditioned to become a company member with Midland Theatre Ballet for their 2027 production of Cinderella! 👑🩰
Midland Theatre Ballet, a performance programme by Ballet Britain, brings together talented young dancers from across the region to rehearse and perform a full-length ballet production.
Vogue will spend the coming months rehearsing in Birmingham before taking to the stage in four performances of Cinderella at The Crescent Theatre in March 2027.
We are incredibly proud of her dedication, commitment and hard work, and can’t wait to follow her journey throughout this exciting experience.
Well done, Vogue! Your Jaykays family is cheering you on every step of the way ❤️

Most people think dance is just about learning steps… but for young children, it’s SO much more than that.
Research continues to show strong links between rhythm, movement and early literacy development. When children clap to a beat, move to music and explore rhythm patterns, they’re strengthening the same brain pathways used for speech, language and reading.
Which is why preschool dance classes can be such a powerful tool in early childhood development!
At Jaykays Dance Company, our preschool classes are designed to nurture confidence, coordination, musicality, listening skills and creativity… all through fun, engaging movement and music.
Every clap. Every bounce. Every twirl.
It all matters 💖
