Where did that summer go? ☀️🛶

It’s been a season of heatwaves, proposals on the river 💍, laughter, TV appearances, scavenger hunts, river safaris, wildlife encounters and plenty of paddling adventures with stags and hens.

We’ve had glorious sunshine, a few challenges courtesy of Mother Nature, and lots of you joining us to make memories on our little stretch of the Thames.

As the school holidays have drawn to a close, our opening days have changed, but summer isn’t over just yet!

We’re still here, the river is still calling, and there’s still time to have fun and connect with nature as the sun is shining!

And to everyone swapping paddles for school bags, university, college or the return to work this week — good luck!

Thanks for making Summer 2026 one to remember. 💙

🌿 HELP PROTECT THE WILDLIFE OF THE RIVER COLN 💙

The River Coln is a beautiful rare Cotswold chalk stream, like our Thames it is home to an incredible variety of wildlife, from kingfishers to mayflies, water voles and the plants and insects that depend on clean, clear water.

We want to support Debbie Campbell river girl 💚 and show just how much this river matters.

Join her on 12 September and help give its wildlife a voice.

Fantastic afternoon yesterday filming with Prof Alice Roberts for her new series Grounded.

Great to be able to showcase Lechlade and our wonderful river.

A massive shout out to who stepped in last minute when both our outboard’s failed and also to for stepping in at the helm while the boss lady hikes in Skye.

We can’t wait to see the finished programme.

We’re lucky to be based just a paddle away from one of the Cotswolds’ best riverside spots for a drink.

Congratulations!
