Judiciary Committee announcement! ⚖️

As Buhurt International continues to grow, we’re also working on strengthening the structures that help keep our sport fair, consistent and accountable.

We are expanding the BI Judiciary Committee and are asking each Conference to put forward nominations for people they believe would be a strong fit for this role.

We are particularly looking for active or retired fighters who:
• have a solid understanding of the rules and the realities of our sport
• are known for fair play and good judgement
• can approach situations logically and objectively
• are trusted and respected within the community

This Committee should be made up of people who understand buhurt not only on paper, but through experience and who can look at difficult situations fairly, calmly and without bias.

We ask each Conference to discuss potential candidates and send forward their nominations.

Good sport needs good rules. Good rules need people we trust to uphold them ⚔️

BIWC27 has its look ⚔️🇮🇹

As preparations for the Buhurt International World Championships 2027 continue, it’s time to introduce the official event poster, with a minimalist, bold visual identity for our next World Championships.

📍 Lucca, Italy
📅 13–16 May 2027 - Tournament Days
⚪️ 12 May 2027 - Registration Day

The Championship will take place on the grounds beneath Lucca’s historic city walls, near Porta Santa Maria, bringing the biggest stage in buhurt right to the walls of one of Tuscany’s historic cities.

And behind the scenes, the process is already well underway. We’re working closely with our local host to set all the details, while the form regarding projected attendance has already been sent to all National Organisations to help us prepare for the numbers we can expect in Lucca.

Over the upcoming months, we’ll be sharing detailed maps of the Championship grounds and gradually releasing further information regarding categories, registration, schedule, staff accommodation, camping and event logistics.

There’s a lot happening behind the scenes and plenty more to show you.

For now, BIWC27 has its face.
