A new month brings new challenges.... Like staying consistent with working out when
- you've been invited to the beer garden
- Drinks and BBQ's are a regular thing
- you've not slept well because it's too hot
- you're on holiday!

I mean these may apply last week but the weather isn't looking all that summery for the next week or so!
But when these temptations do reappear remember:
Class is always on.
It's the one hour of your week to breathe, reset & challenge yourself all at the same time
And if you really can't make it to class, you can swap it!

⭐ Hello May ⭐

A month of bank holidays, blossom, more sunshine 🤞🏼 and movement.

Only 3 weeks left until half term and it's a great time to stay active, get your steps in, lift some heavy stuff and of course... come and see me to get your Pilates fix!

⭐ The Studio ⭐

After spending some time this week painting the skirting boards I've been trying to reflect on how far this Studio has come...

When I signed up for this 3 year lease this space was 4 small, tired, old offices.
We did what we could for opening and along the way we've added bespoke furniture to house shoes, coats and a variety of equipment.

We've upgraded the radiators, plastered the walls, painted everywhere, changed the lighting added blinds, plants and finishing touches.

I am so proud of The Studio and the warm and inviting environment we've created. Not just for Pilates classes (of which there are many) but the yoga class, the breath work classes, the My Bump and Chill classes that also use The Studio regularly.

I've just signed another 3 year lease to continue the growth and evolution of the Studio. The main part though... The lovely people who step through the door. Hopefully you already feel it but you are ALWAYS welcome here xx

⭐ Hello April ⭐

Starting April strong with intention...
To eat all of my kids Easter eggs once they're asleep in bed 😂

Remember, life is all about balance.
Want some Easter chocolate? Go for it.
Hot cross bun? Yes please!

Never punish yourself with exercise after eating food you enjoy. Just be mindful, and maybe join me for an extra class after the holidays. Not for punishment (before anyone says it!) but because movement is medicine. And after the school holidays you may appreciate a bit of time to yourself xx

Reminder: just one week off from my classes from Monday the 6th to Saturday the 11th.
Dawn, Annie and Kiera's classes are on as normal ☺️

⭐ Hello March ⭐

Actually on time with the post this month! So let's talk about mood boosters... My favourites are
- Sunshine
- Laughter
- Exercise

Now I can't guarantee the weather and let's face it in recent years we've seen snow in March so I don't want to get ahead of myself BUT how nice is it to see a bit of sunshine?! Time to get outside more and enjoy the spring flowers ☺️

Those of you that come to my classes already know I'm a bit of an oversharer and I like a little chat in class. The social element of classes really gives me a boost and I love seeing friendships develop within my groups. The more laughter the better!

And the last one, exercise. This one I can definitely help you with. Movement is medicine and some people need Pilates for the mobility and stretching elements. Others really like to be pushed and feel those muscles working hard (sometimes to the point of shaking!). And that's what is so great about Pilates. It really is for everyone. It can be adapted to suit all. I've never met anyone that feels worse when they walk out of The Studio from when they walked in.
Let March boost your mood. Get outside and enjoy the sunshine, see your friends, laugh more and throw in some exercise. Job done.
