U12 Bury - Regional Division 1 v Denton Lightning
Great win against a strong Denton team!

Final score: 22–13

Q1: 6–3
Q2: 3–3
Q3: 6–5
Q4: 7–2

The girls made a strong and confident start, building a good lead heading into the second quarter.

Q2 proved more difficult, with the ball moving back and forth from centre pass before eventually finding the net. Inaccurate ball placement, footwork errors and rushing our play led to too many mistakes, and the quarter finished level.

We regrouped ahead of Q3, with clear instructions about what good CPA looks like and the importance of staying composed through court. The girls responded brilliantly, producing smoother transitions and more controlled attacking play.

In Q4, we pulled away from Denton. Strong CPA helped us take more possession to goal, while improved teamwork in CPD allowed us to apply pressure and force more errors.

The girls worked incredibly hard, with everyone taking to court in various combinations and contributing to another fantastic Bury League win.

Special congratulations for

💙U15s Blue v Oldham U16s💙

30-49 loss

A tough match for our U15s against a strong Oldham side. We kept the scores just about level in the first and second quarter, but Oldham edged ahead and built a strong lead in the third that we couldn't close.

There were plenty of positives. Our shooters finished with 94% stats. The defence worked hard throughout, and the mid court kept moving the ball well into attack.

💙🖤 Bury League year 9/10💙🖤
After the great first game in the WY league the Y13s continued the momentum with a win over Rivington U15s 50-13 👏

A slight slower start to Q1 was soon forgotten as the girls confidence grew and the ball moved well from centre pass to goal with interceptions on the opposition centre to secure a good win.

💙As expected, it was a very tough game physically against Rochdale Under 15s.

The girls worked hard to stay together as a strong unit throughout the match, showing resilience and determination in a challenging match.

In periods of tight play, unforced errors began to creep in and some of the basic foundations of our game slipped slightly.

Despite these challenges, the girls kept their heads and continued to work hard, creating key turnovers and kept winning the game - even when key moments and decisions didn’t go our way.

The final score of 25–25 doesn’t fully reflect how well the girls played or the effort they put into the match. There were plenty of positives to take away, and the team showed great determination throughout a tough contest.

Well done to

Leeds u10 blue vs KWP Silver u10’s in the bury league year 5/6 division 2
16–8 WIN!

A great afternoon in Bury today for our U10s, securing a fantastic 16–8 victory over KWP Silver!

The girls started the game well, showing some lovely passages of play, good movement through the court and strong connections in attack, finishing the first quarter level at 3–3.

A few unforced errors and misplaced passes saw us lose possession at times, but the girls worked hard to regain the ball with some fantastic interceptions, tight marking and defensive pressure.

As the game progressed, the girls settled into their rhythm, demonstrating some great centre-pass options, quick transitions from defence into attack and lovely feeds into the shooting circle.

A particularly strong final quarter saw the girls dominate possession, capitalise on turnovers and finish the game with a brilliant 5–0 quarter!

Well done to

A big thank you to Susie for coaching, Rachel for scoring and all our parents for their continued support! 💙

Leeds U11 Blue Vs Blackpool Oranges

Bury League years 5/6 - Premier Division.

Final score: 19-26 Loss.

In their second match of the day, the girls gave us a glimpse of what they are capable of when firing on all cylinders. They started strong, bringing the ball down court with speed, and seamlessly transitioning from defense to attack with plenty of great interceptions.
The first three quarters were tightly contested. The girls pulled ahead in the second quarter, followed by a nail-biting third quarter. However, as fatigue set in during the final quarter, a few passing errors and missed shots meant they couldn't fully capitalise on their turn-overs, allowing the opposition pull ahead in the final quarter. Despite the final result, the team showed fantastic determination and growth in confidence. They are certainly an impressive team and watching them implement advice from their coach shows that they are eager and willing to learn. Plenty of positives to take away.

Quarter scores:
Q1: 6- 8
Q2: 6-1
Q3: 4-9
Q4: 3-8

🌟CPOM: Jasmine

Thank you to Susie for coaching, Adil for scoring, and all the parents and siblings for their support.
