A confident win for our U14s against Trafford U16s in Bury U21 Regional Prem

The girls took an early lead with strong, fast-flowing netball and then dominated the rest of the game. Their performance gave us the opportunity to explore new combinations and positions throughout.

Last game of the season for our U10s in the Bury League (Year 5/6 Division 4)! 💙🖤
The girls signed off their season with another fantastic performance, extending their unbeaten run with a 12-7 victory over Halo U10s.

It was another brilliant team performance, with some lovely passages of play in attack and a defence that was absolutely on fire! 🔥

We kept the momentum going throughout the first three quarters before a slight dip in the final quarter allowed Halo to pull a few goals back. Overall, though, it was a well-deserved and impressive win.

This also marks the final game this team will play together, as our current U10s move up to U11s and our U9s step up into the U10 age group.

Girls, you have been an incredible team, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything you’ve achieved together this season. Your hard work, determination and teamwork have been amazing to watch, and you’ve created so many special memories along the way.

A slow start in the first quarter but we gained momentum as it progressed. The girls pushed hard and won every quarter.

U14’s at Yendy’s tournament
A good competitive day for the U14s down in the West Midlands today.

The tournament followed a ladder format, with the girls facing a strong set of opponents throughout the day. They adapted well to the heat and the conditions, winning 4 of their 6 matches and showing great resilience and teamwork.

They missed out on a top-four finish, but there were plenty of positives to take away, with the squad enjoying the opportunity to play some excellent netball in the fast-paced tournament format. Well done, girls!

Win 51:22 vs Sheffield Steel

A strong start saw the girls take an early lead against Steel. Lovely shooting and only one missed shot in the first half meant we were 27-10 up at half time. The girls continued to build in Q3. Steel never gave up and in Q4 they can back stronger for a much closer quarter. Great to see an improvement on turnovers to goal for the girls and lots of different combos tried on court.

The girls determination, positive attitude and teamwork were a credit to the club today. To come away as runners-up against U14 teams is something to be very proud of. The girls worked tirelessly in defence, moved the ball confidently down the court, and showed excellent composure in the circle. They dug deep, stayed resilient, and delivered a fantastic all-round team performance. Well done girls!

A very hot day for this first ENG tournament, but a great atmosphere with all the teams starting on court in true Commonwealth style with the national anthems (Danny Boy for us!).
8 minute games are a short time to get up to speed and the flow going on court, but the girls did well to get off to a quick strong start just losing the first match 5-6. They kept the momentum going with both attack and defence connecting well, with rapid position changes to keep the team fresh in the heat. Coming 2nd in the group took us into the play offs.
A dip against DNA with some umpire decisions not going our way, in the play offs could have given a very different position if we won this match, which could have been a very different result for the day.
