Striders took on It's Grim Up North Running Cakeathon at Rothwell Country Park today - a gorgeous trail loop, a cracking atmosphere, and an absolutely elite level of cake‑based motivation.
Turns out the real race wasn’t on the trails… it was the sprint to the cake table afterwards. And judging by the photo, we absolutely smashed that part too 😆
Mud in our shoes, smiles on our faces, and enough sugar to fuel us until next week - classic Strider behaviour.

Huge shout‑out to James - one of our 2025 Couch to 5K legends who just keeps levelling up.
From those first C25K sessions to smashing the Leeds Half Marathon in a sub‑2‑hour time, his progress has been nothing short of incredible.
It’s taken a few races, a lot of graft, and a whole load of belief… and he’s done it on one of the toughest half marathon courses around.
James, you’ve absolutely earned this one and we know you are nowhere near done yet

Our international Strider has only gone and conquered the Cape Town Marathon - and not just any marathon, but the one she describes as the hardest she’s ever done. And let’s be honest… Deb has a serious marathon CV, so that says everything.
But this one wasn’t just about miles.
It was emotional, meaningful, and rooted deep in her heart.
Cape Town is a place she once called home, a place filled with memories, people, and chapters that shaped her. To return years later and take on 26.2 miles there - on a brutal course, in tough conditions - is something truly special.
We’re so proud of you, Deb.
Our globe‑trotting Strider.
Our marathon machine.
Our Flat Deb, who proves time and time again that heart carries you further than legs ever will.
Here’s to the miles, the memories, and the magic of Cape Town

Bionic. Brave. Back in business.
Huge shout out to Jason, who has returned to running after two hip replacements and just smashed a 10K in one hour.
That’s a phenomenal time for ANY runner - but for someone who’s rebuilt themselves and kept fighting, it’s legendary.
Absolute inspiration.

💥 SHOUT OUT TO PAUL AND AMANDA - THE SUPER COUPLE WHO TOOK ON EDINBURGH AND WON 💥
On the hottest day of the year, when the sun decided to go full drama‑queen mode, these two absolute legends went out and smashed the Edinburgh Marathon.
🔥 Paul - a sub‑5 hour finish. That’s not just running… that’s thriving in conditions that had the rest of us melting like forgotten ice creams.
🔥 Amanda - honest, gritty, and absolutely unstoppable. She said it herself:
“Well I can’t lie, that was the hardest run I have ever done especially in that extreme heat.”
And yet… she kept going. She finished. She conquered. That’s marathon heart.
Together, Paul and Amanda proved what teamwork, resilience, and pure stubborn determination look like.
Two runners. One scorching marathon. One unforgettable achievement.
🖤❤️ Super couple status: confirmed ❤️🖤

🎬NATHAN: THE HALF MARATHON ORIGIN STORY🎬
Rated: L for Legendary.
From the creators of “I’ll Just See How It Goes on the Day” and the producers of “Stubbornness Is a Strategy” comes the story of a runner who simply would. not. stop.
🏃♂️💥 THIS SPRING… ONE MAN TOOK ON 13.1 MILES… AND WON.
He stepped onto the Leeds start line with nothing but determination, questionable knees, and the heart of a champion.
We felt the tension as he pushed
through every mile like the hero he is. Strider groupies on many a route corner shouting his name
He experienced the triumph as he crossed the finish line - not because it was easy, but because giving up was never an option.
A must see this springtime! 🎥
