Wishing one of our most favourite people and run leaders .steinman a very happy (belated) 40th birthday. We don’t know what we would do without you. Obviously she celebrated with a birthday run, alpacas and cake.

To all women affected by violence and to those women we have lost to violence. Tonight we lit candles on our doorstep to remember Sarah Everard and the many women that have gone before her.

Here’s to a future where women feel safe on our streets. To one where they do not need to change what they do to protect themselves. To a future where they don’t have to stay at home for fear of what will happen if they go out alone or with other women. A future where our daughters don’t grow up with a list of things to remember to do to keep safe. One where they don’t get blamed when they are victims of violence.

Please join us tomorrow for a vigil in memory of Sarah Everard and all of the women threatened on our streets. We will be lighting a candle on our doorsteps at 6pm and observing a minutes silence. Please spread the word.

We’ve been a little quiet in January, but we’ve all been keeping busy for and haven’t let the weather stop us getting out!

We’ve been walking, running, cycling, doing online classes, having a zoom cup of tea catch up, and litter picking for birthday treat.

Tomorrow is February and it’s all ready getting lighter. We’re looking forward to seeing those signs of spring popping up ❤️

To celebrate in as I can’t be with all my running pals or go to at the moment I invite you to complete the following challenge:
⭐️ Collect as much litter as you can in 34 minutes.
Or....
⭐️ Collect 34 pieces of litter while taking as long as you want!

You can walk, run, cycle, skip or cartwheel along the way if you like 😂 Take the kids, take the dog. Don’t forget to wear gloves and take a carrier bag/bin bag to collect your rubbish in. Send me your litterpick selfies or tag me.

I would also advise you to eat a lot of cake afterwards to celebrate my birthday 🎂

This will be one of my activities for next week. I’m considering an epic birthday run too...the number 34 will be involved somehow 🤔 I just need to consider what is kind to my legs!

Happy New Year everyone 🥳

We would normally be completing our favourite day of the year...double parkrun day 😆
Unfortunately no such luck this year so here’s some throwbacks to 2019 and 2020.

We haven’t let it being a put us off though and lots of us have been active today. We’ve signed up to to commit to moving everyday in some way. It doesn’t have to be running. Do something you enjoy. Dance around the kitchen, stretch, walk to the shop. Anything goes 😁

Groups are on so check the website to book for our Monday and Thursday sessions where we’ll keep you moving. Come and join us!
