It's week 9! Our first week of our testing phase - Benchmarks
Here are a few dates for the diary:

Tues 31st - clean + jerk workout (retest)
Fri 4th - Queens Jubilee, Partner/solo Murph

Mon 6th - Sn**ch workout (restest)
Wed 8th - 5RM shoulder to overhead
Thur 9th - 50 chest to bar pullups for time
Fri 10th - 1RM clean + jerk

Week 12:
Tues 14th - 3RM deadlift
Wed 15th - 50 handstand push-ups for time
Fri 17th - HFT special: "Hateful 8"

HIGH FOCUS TRAINING
*Program update*
We are now in a new 12 week training cycle. Phase 1 is Foundations.
What to expect in this first 4 week training phase:
Here we will be working on building a strong foundation within all our movements, from gymnastics to weightlifting.
Our gymnastic movements will involve a lot of holding and strict strength work, whilst in our barbell movements, we will be working on pauses and tempo to build strength in key positions.
Metcons will be fun and varied as always, but they will be programmed in a way that you'll see the 3 training focuses:
Focus 1: Comp focus
Focus 2: Fitness focus
Focus 3: Sweat focus

HIGH FOCUS TRAINING
*Program Update*
Week 5
This week is the start of the 4 week skill phase of training. The next 4 weeks of training will be testing athletes on more skill based movements within gymnastics and the Olympic lifts.
Expect to see more kipping practice in the skills and strength element of the classes, as well as more technical work in the Olympic lifting complexes.
The strength work of the front squats will now progress onto the rig, where athletes will be spending time building to a heavy and then doing percentage work.
The next 4 weeks is a great time to test all the foundational work gained from phase one and to see if athletes have progressed within their skills and strengths.
