At the weekend the hillclimbing.org team were at the Prescott Hill Climb practice day for the official start of the British Hillclimb Championship.
Prescott has hosted the opening round of the BHC since 2008 and once again, it didn't disappoint!
Great to see the crowds out enjoying the sunshine and supporting all the amazing drivers. A fantastic job by all the volunteers too, thank you!
Huge thanks also to BHC'S, Tim Wilson for sparing time to speak to us on such a busy day. Thanks Tim!!
Event photos are on their way but here's a flavour of the weekend just in case you didn't make it.

Here are the updated records for the tracks on our site for the 2025 season https://www.hillclimbing.org
As usual we have done our best to be as accurate as possible, but we are still finding it difficult to get the information from some of the hills/clubs.
Hillclimbing.org is a free to use community site which celebrates the effort and achievement it takes to break a record. We thought when starting this site that it would be welcomed by all as a useful tool in planning a season or just seeing how close you can get to a record. Whilst we have over 1K followers we are still unable to get the help of most of the hills in the UK which makes keeping the site up to date and relevant very time consuming and prone to errors.
This sport is based on accurate timing and one of the main reasons for taking part is to break records, therefore you would think that there would be accurate record keeping. This is not the case.
Again, if anyone reading this can apply some pressure on their club/hill to make more of an effort at keeping and publishing records and including us in the process so we can share it with all the UK competitors, it would be much appreciated.
So, if you spot something wrong or if you break a record in 2026 then please e mail us at [email protected] with the results from the meeting and we will update.
A huge thank you to Stuart at https://www.captureyourcarphotography.co.uk/ for this image and for his continued support of hillclimbing.org.
Onwards & upwards, let’s go.
