Today in class we built up to some heavy deadlifts (standing up with the weight from the floor!) Everyone, at some point, said they had finished, but couldn’t resist going back to try a heavier weight.
The realisation that they were capable of more was evident in their growing confidence approaching the weight.

Getting stronger is the best way of future-proofing your body!

Great workout yesterday. We tested some strength and endurance and then got sweaty with a bit of a shoulder burner circuit.

If you or anyone you know would like to get stronger and fitter but aren’t sure where to start, please get in touch. We run a class for any and every body. As an experienced neuro physiotherapist with my CrossFit level 1 qualification, I pride myself on adapting classes and movements so that everyone can work hard within their restrictions.

Classes held at COR personal fitness in Horsforth Vale on a Friday at 1.15pm. First class is free. £10 after.

Merry Christmas from all of us at Essential Movement. This class has worked so hard this year, grown stronger and achieved so much! Full burpees, jumping onto a plate or box, leaving the walking stick at the door and generally stronger all round…. And we’ve had a lot of fun in the process. I’m so proud of each and every one of you and thank you for trusting me with your health and fitness. 🥰

So I’m doing a thing! The classes have started and I have room for more to join us. We spend an hour moving, getting stronger and hopefully having fun!
