🎨 Halloween Witches, Mask-Making, and Dancing at Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School Wraparound Care! 🧙‍♀️✨

The spooky fun continued today for The Big Halloween Challenge week! The children showcased incredible creativity, imagination, and dance moves during our Halloween Witches, Mask Making and Dancing theme. 🎭🕸️

Here is a recap of our packed afternoon:

• 🎭 Mask Making & Painting: We kicked off our creative session by painting detailed Halloween masks, letting everyone design their own spooky or silly characters.

• 🏰 Stenciled Collages: Next, the children used Halloween stencils to create fantastic spooky collages. Their designs featured pumpkins, Dracula’s castle, Dracula himself, witches, cats, and Frankenstein. 🎃🐈‍⬛

• 🪄 Magic Movement Challenge: The energy went up as the children took on a movement adventure! They flew on imaginary broomsticks, cast pretend magic spells, tiptoed through a mysterious castle, reached high to collect a magical star, and froze instantly when the spell ended. ⭐🦇

• 🕺 The Thriller Dance: To top off the afternoon, everyone became dance stars! The students learned and performed an amazing dance routine to Michael Jackson’s iconic track, "Thriller". 🧟‍♂️🎶

The children brought fantastic energy to both the arts and the choreography today. We can't wait to see what adventures tomorrow brings! 🍂🔮

🎨 Halloween Arts & Crafts at Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School Wraparound Care! 👻

Our spooky adventures continued today for The Big Halloween Challenge week! The children brought so much imagination and focus to today’s creative theme: Halloween Arts and Crafts. 🎃✨

Here is a recap of our afternoon:

• 🧙 Halloween Says Warm-Up: We started with a spooky twist on a classic game! The children listened carefully to instructions, flying like bats, stirring bubbling magic potions, walking like zombies, jumping like frogs, floating like ghosts, and freezing perfectly as spooky statues. 🦇🧪

• 🎃 Pumpkin Decorating: Next, the children got crafty by designing and decorating their own pumpkin face cutouts using a variety of fun stickers.

• 🪵 Wooden Ornaments: To finish our creative session, everyone beautifully coloured in their own Halloween-themed wooden ornaments to take home. 🖍️🕷️

It was wonderful to see so much artistic talent and concentration on display today. We are looking forward to another day of Halloween fun tomorrow! 🍁🕸️

🎃 Spooky Halloween Adventure at Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School Wraparound Care! 👻

Today marked the exciting start of The Big Halloween Challenge week! The children threw themselves into today’s theme, Spooky Halloween Adventure, with lots of energy and creativity. 🕸️✨

Here is a look at our action-packed afternoon:
• 🥪 Light Bite: We kicked off the afternoon by refueling with a tasty light snack and catching up after class.

• 🧙 Halloween Movement Challenge: To warm up, the children took on a series of spooky actions! They flew like witches on broomsticks, floated like ghosts, marched like skeletons, walked like zombies, and tested their focus by freezing like Halloween statues. 🧹🧟

• 🏃 Zombie Tag: For our main game, the children played a thrilling round of Zombie Tag. The spooky mission was for the initial "zombie" to catch the other players and turn the whole group into a roaring pack of zombies! 🧟‍♂️💨

• 🎨 Trick or Treat Bags: We finished the afternoon with a creative craft session, where everyone beautifully colored and decorated their very own custom trick-or-treat bags to take home. 🛍️🖍️

The children showed fantastic teamwork and imagination today. We are so proud of their enthusiasm and cannot wait for tomorrow's Halloween challenge! 🍁🦇

🎨 The Big Adventure Challenge: Day 5 – Art Attack Day! 🖌️✨

We wrapped up the final day of The Big Adventure Challenge with an absolute explosion of creativity at our wraparound care!

Today’s theme was Art Attack Day, where our young creators transformed into artists, sculptures, and master builders to finish the week in style.

Here is how our creative geniuses rocked their Friday:

• 🥪 Fuel & The Art Movement Challenge: We started our afternoon with a quick, energising light bite to get everyone ready to create. Then, we kicked things off with the Art Movement Challenge. The children stretched their bodies and imaginations by learning to paint like an artist, drawing giant circles in the air, pretending to use a paintbrush, moving gracefully like a sculpture, making a statue to freeze, and finally striking their best silly art pose!

• ✂️ The Giant Art Attack: Working together as one big creative team, the children took on the ultimate group challenge. Using an array of stencils, they collaborated to design and create a giant masterpiece together, showing off wonderful sharing and teamwork skills.

• 🏓 Sports Equipment Portraits: For our grand finale, the children combined art and sports in the most inventive way. Using a bat, a rugby ball, cones, and hula hoops, they problem-solved to arrange the gear and construct a giant face on the floor, proving that anything can be turned into a masterpiece!

It has been an incredible week of The Big Adventure Challenge, and today proved that our children are just as creative as they are active. We are so proud of all their hard work, laughter, and brilliant ideas this week!

💥 The Big Adventure Challenge: Day 4 – Music & Dance Festival! 🎵🕺

We kept the rhythm moving for Day 4 of The Big Adventure Challenge at our wraparound care! Today’s theme was an absolute celebration of rhythm, coordination, and expression as our superstars took center stage for our very own Music and Dance Festival.

Here is how our performers rocked their Thursday:

• 🥪 Fuel & The Ultimate Dance Warm-Up: We kicked off the afternoon with a quick, energising light bite to get everyone ready for the dance floor. Then, we took straight to the floor for an energetic game of Follow the Leader. The children mirrored an array of fun movements, practicing their coordination by marching, clapping, doing side steps, dancing, jumping, spinning safely, and locking into a perfect freeze whenever the music stopped.

• 🎨 Ballerina Colouring: After cooling down from our high-energy warm-up, the children sat down for some creative focus time, colouring a beautiful picture of a ballerina dancing gracefully in a dance studio.

• 🛑 Musical Statues: The festive fun continued with a classic crowd favourite! Everyone showed off their best grooves, testing their lightning-fast reflexes to instantly go completely still the second the beat dropped.

• 👥 Copycat Choreography: Putting their observation skills to the test, the children paired up to play a mimic game, mirroring each other's custom dance moves and trying to match the rhythm perfectly.

• 🔄 The Opposite Dance Challenge: To push their creativity even further, the children faced the ultimate reversal game. Instead of copying, they had to invent and perform the exact opposite dance move of what their partner was doing—bringing tons of laughter and clever choreography to the room!

It was a day filled with incredible beats, massive smiles, and unforgettable dance battles. Our children absolutely shone today!

💥 The Big Adventure Challenge: Day 3 – Sports Day & Creative Movements! 🏆🎨

We raced into Day 3 of The Big Adventure Challenge at our Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School wraparound care! Today’s theme was all about action, teamwork, and artistic flair as our children took on an epic mix of sports and creative challenges.

Here is how our champions spent their action-packed Wednesday:

• 🍎 Fuel & Fine Art: We started our afternoon with a delicious light bite before unleashing our imaginations with a spontaneous animal drawing challenge! One talented child drew an incredible scene featuring a giraffe, a panda in a tree, a swinging monkey, and a crocodile in a river. Another creative artist designed a lovely picture filled with a bun, strawberry, apple, cherry, and sweet love hearts.

• 🎨 Creative Movement Challenge: Next, we headed into the sports hall to warm up our bodies with an imaginative movement game. The children had to pretend to paint a giant picture in the air, draw shapes with their arms, mimic using a toothbrush, move like dancing paintbrushes, and lock into a creative frozen pose!

• 🏃‍♂️ Team Games & Relay Races: The sports day energy truly kicked in with some fantastic, high-speed team challenges. We started with a fast-paced baton relay race, followed by a tricky bounce-and-catch game where players had to bounce a ball inside a hula hoop and catch it perfectly inside a cone!

• 🚧 The Mega Obstacle Course: Our athletes put their agility to the test! They wove through cones, hopped on one leg down the left side and then the right side of the track, and jumped through a series of hoops.

• 🎯 The Ultimate Balance Test: To finish the games, everyone attempted to walk forward and backward while balancing a cone perfectly on their heads—there were lots of giggles and amazing concentration on display!

• 🃏 Uno & Heartfelt Crafts: To wind down after an energetic day, the children enjoyed some friendly rounds of UNO. To wrap up a beautiful afternoon, one of our wonderful students spent time creating a lovely, handwritten "I love you Mum" card.

What another spectacular day of teamwork, laughter, and high energy!

💥 The Big Adventure Challenge: Day 2 at Superhero Academy! 🦸‍♂️✨

We flew straight into Day 2 of The Big Adventure Challenge at our Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School wraparound care!

Our academy recruits returned today with even more energy and enthusiasm to level up their superpowers.

Here is how our mighty heroes spent their second day of training:

• 🍎 Powering Up: We began our mission by gathering for a nutritious light bite to fuel our adventures, followed by some clever, strategic matches of Connect 4.

• 🏋️‍♂️ Advanced Superhero Training: Next, we took our warm-ups to the next level! The children mastered a rigorous circuit of star jumps, high knees, running on the spot, jumping over imaginary objects, and perfecting their signature superhero poses. We capped it off with a high-speed game of trying to tag the hero right in front of us!

• 🎵 Musical Superhero Poses: The high-energy fun continued as we jogged along to epic theme music. As soon as the soundtrack paused, everyone showcased their quick reflexes by freezing into an incredible superhero pose!

• 🎭 Secret Identity Masks: Heading inside, our talented artists tapped into their creative powers to design and construct custom superhero masks.

• ☄️ Epic Dodgeball Battle: We took the action outside into the fresh air for a thrilling round of Superhero vs. Supervillain limbo dodgeball—the teamwork on display was heroic!

• 🧱 Master Sculptors: To wind down the session, we used play-dough to bring our favorite characters to life. The highlight was a spectacular, detailed sculpture of Spider-Man shooting webs straight out of his hands! 🕸️🕷️

🌍 The Big Adventure Challenge: Destination Space! 🚀

We kicked off our brand-new theme week at our Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School wraparound care with an out-of-this-world afternoon!

Today, our young adventurers became true Space Explorers. 🧑‍🚀✨

Here is a look at today's intergalactic mission:

* 🏋️‍♂️ Astronaut Training: To warm up, the children underwent rigorous space training! We practiced star jumps, high knees, hopping in lunar gravity, slow-motion space walking, and crouching down to collect moon rocks before finishing with our best frozen astronaut poses.

* 🚀 Colgate Toothpaste Spaceships: Next, we launched into a creative recycling project. The children designed and built their very own spaceships out of cardboard. Our favorite creations were the Colgate toothpaste spaceships—because, as the children rightly pointed out, even aliens need to brush their teeth! 👽🪥

* 🍎 Refuelling Station: After all that hard work, everyone headed to the base station for a well-deserved light snack to refuel.

* ✈️ Test Flights: With spaceships built and energy restored, we headed into the sports hall to conduct official test flights to see how our new vessels handled the atmosphere.

* ☄️ Astronaut vs. Alien Dodgeball: The cosmic excitement continued with a high-energy game of Astronaut vs. Alien limbo dodgeball.

* 🔴 Mission Control: We wound down the session and brought everyone back to Earth with some friendly, strategic games of Connect 4.
