‎Memento Mori on Apple Podcasts 27/05/2021

**OUT NOW**
The Memento Mori podcast series creates sonic stories from the work of photographer Peter Mitchell, who captured the demolition of Quarry Hill flats in the late 1970s. Built in the 1930s in Leeds, the flats were the UK’s largest social housing complex at the time. Mitchell’s book Memento Mori collected fragments of their history alongside images of the flats’ demolition.

In this four-part podcast series, you’ll hear stories about the work and hear about at Quarry Hill in Leeds’ history and present. As well hearing the voices of former Quarry Hill residents, you'll also hear diary excerpts recorded for the time by Peter himself.

The project was recorded entirely during lockdown and was funded by Leeds City College Arts Fund.
