Men For Mind FC

Unfortunately it wasn’t to be for MFM Yorkshire this weekend, as we fell to a 4-3 defeat on Sunday afternoon. After a sloppy start, our boys managed to bring it back to 3-2 just before half time, but a disappointing second half display meant we just couldn’t get over the line.

Congratulations to Hardly Athletic Charity FC on taking home the trophy👏

On a lighter note, from this game we were able to raise £80 to donate directly to Rotherham & Barnsley Mind, to keep up the great work they’re doing in our local area💙

MFM Northamptonshire returned to action with a 5-1 victory away at Isaac’s Eagles thanks to a brace from debutant Finn Rolfe, followed by goals from Shammah Kakande, Prem Patel and Shane Saunders. Hard fought game, in which the referee handled the difficulty well…

Next up for the lads is hopefully a rearranged game at Stadium MK after Wandering Crows “pulled out” 🥴 and our United Charities Tournament final against Selhurst Legends FC.

Been a rough couple of months for the Northamptonshire boys with multiple games cancelled at the last minute, a lack of responses on organised games, and teams taking payments for a booking at a stadium which was never made…

It was a good day’s work yesterday for MFM Yorkshire, as we picked up a 4-1 win over AFC Banks.

It was difficult for both teams to get going, with both the surface and weather contributing to a stop-start game. We’re pleased to be going into our final in good form!⚽️

Thanks to AFC Banks for travelling down and giving us a strong, competitive game. We look forward to returning to Hull later in the year for the reverse fixture🤝

The MOTM as picked by the opposition was Jordan Guy, who put in a great shift both on the wing and up top👏

It’s Gameday for MFM Yorkshire, as we host new opposition in AFC Banks, at Athersley Rec FC. This is our final friendly before the United Charities cup final in May🏆
