Do you get it — the whole body approach makes sense, you feel it working — and still find yourself wondering... but should I still be doing my Kegels? 🤍
You’re not confused. You’re not behind. That question makes complete sense given everything you’ve been told by the authorities in your life — your GP, your midwife, your physio.
In Episode 52 I’m naming it out loud: the lingering Kegel question isn’t a knowledge problem. It’s a trust problem. And the permission you’re looking for? It was never in a leaflet.
It was always yours.
New episode out now 🎙️ Trusting Yourself Is the Work. Not the Kegels. — link in bio.

It’s been fun looking back at old photos & bringing back memories of a life of Pilates.
I’m not aloud to share but there’s so many family photos of boys on all the equipment since they were very young! It’s really a family affair!

Yes it’s true I went viral for telling the truth about Kegels!
The takeaway here is that the majority of women still don’t know the truth about Kegels!
The post was new information to the women that saw it & it was important enough for 30k women to engage with it, save it & share it!
This is the tip of the iceberg! Our work will never be done!
You will find that post in the pinned posts above & learn more on the first episode of Season 5 of the podcast.

It’s been a lifetime & I’m grateful for it every day!
At age 13 I was introduced to it as body conditioning for dancers, at 18 I was told it was ‘floor barre’ then at 19 I learned it was called Pilates & I go in the Reformer for the first time. I knew it as the Plié machine.
It was using the apparatus that changed my life forever! I’m grateful for what the method has given me at each stage of my life. It’s been the bridge back to myself & what keeps me connected to myself.
I’m also grateful for how it helps me to support others & teach them how to come back & connect to themselves.
What’s your Pilates history???

It’s Saturday & you have permission to take the day off not just teaching but thinking about your clients!
The teachers I work with are constantly thinking about their clients, they care deeply & worry.
It’s also important to step back, have boundaries & take time for yourself.
Joe even said it himself!
We need the balance of Work, rest & play!
