Heartbreak after some epic battles, but fuel for future success!

We had 3 teams fighting it out this weekend, Under14 against Graves, Sheffield, Under 11 at Harrogate Spa and Under 9 in Bradford at a multi-team event.

After 2 3 hour battle royals, the Under 14s lost 12-10 in a deciding doubles tie-break and the U11s lost 11-9 also in a doubles clincher. 2 tough losses, where if 2 points in either game had gone the other way we would have had 2 wins.

The Under 9s fought admirably to 3rd in their event and again were a few points off victory.

Whilst these defeats all sting, this is our first year of team competitions. We can take inspiration from Andy Murray as well as many other elite athletes who have used tough losses to inspire them to future success.

A fantastic effort from all the teams this weekend, keep up the hard work, onwards and upwards.

We have a massive programme of classes for juniors of all ages and abilities, together with 7 teams competing in Yorkshire Tennis competitions.

Fantastic U12 match ends in doubles showdown.

Jack secured his second consecutive singles win of the season, with Orly narrowly beaten to set up a doubles showdown against Huddersfield.

Unfortunately this match went against us but a valiant effort from the boys and lots to learn and take away.

The camp combines 'Constraint Based Games' and Langevad 'Sports Biometrics' technical tuition to enhance player's games quickly.

Packed with games, prizes and excitement, jump onto court this half term indoors at Leeds Trinity University.

Our camp is open to ages 5 to 14 with separate age specific groups to help each child have a great time and play their best tennis.

Red Army!

Great to see our Red Ball (8&Under) Squad all kitted out in Optimal Tennis Red today and even better to see how their serves and topspin groundstrokes are developing.

Sophia doing a fantastic job assisting with this squad and many others over several years.

We will be doing another bulk order of Optimal Tennis clothing shortly in time for Christmas.

Delighted to be offering full court indoor tennis as part of our mid-week winter programme with Tuesday night tennis at the fantastic Woodhouse Grove School sports dome.

Classes running 6pm to 7.30pm for Under 10 players, Under 14 players and Adults.

Fantastic atmosphere across the courts, some great play and even better coaching.

Fantastic October Half Term Camp!

We have thoroughly enjoyed the October Half Term Camp, with lots of improvements in serves, forehands and backhands and some fantastic tournament play.

We are now excited to be gearing up for our winter schedule with lessons at the Woodhouse Grove School Tennis Dome starting on Tuesday 6pm to 7.30pm and a new red ball class on Thursday at Leeds Trinity University as well as a full programme of weekend classes also at Trinity.
