Little throwback to a couple of years ago.. such a fun workshop…

Beginner Spin Pole Combo 💫

This is such a good combo for building control on spin pole ✨

✨ Focus on slowing the movement down
✨ Stay connected to the pole through each transition
✨ Let the spin carry you instead of rushing to the next shape
✨ Keep the body organised and controlled as you move

The goal isn’t doing loads of tricks fast — it’s learning how to manage the spin with confidence.

Control first… fancy later 😌💫

Star Tutorial 💫

This one flows beautifully from an Arrow / Jasmine ✨

✨ Before extending out, make sure your knee grip feels really secure
✨ Let the leg connection support the shape before you focus on the reach

And yes… that slightly trapped hand feeling?
That’s actually helping create stability and grip 😅

A lot of people panic and try to free the hand too soon, but that contact can really help support the position while you settle into the shape.

Strong knee grip first — then extend and enjoy the floaty star line 💫

Fairy Walk on Spin Pole 💫

Straight leg back, bent leg forward… a little bit like a moon walk ✨

The secret to making this look floaty and effortless:

✨ Let the hips lead the movement
✨ Keep the chest open and head lifted
✨ Slow the legs down instead of rushing the steps
✨ Feel the natural pull of the spin as you travel around the pole

When the hips guide the movement, everything flows so much more smoothly — and the walk starts to look magical instead of mechanical 💫

Ever felt awkward, clumsy, or like movement just doesn’t come naturally to you?

Like everyone else seems to “get it”… and you don’t.

A lot of people aren’t unfit.

They’re just using far more effort than they need to when they move.

The Effort Less Method is a gentle movement approach designed to help you feel more ease in everyday movement — by exploring how the body naturally organises balance, weight shift and coordination.

More info on the method here:
https://www.beckypriest.co.uk

We focus on real life movement, not performance:
• walking
• balance
• stairs
• standing
• carrying weight
• everyday movement habits

Mermaid / Peter Pan Seat Tutorial 💫

A beginner move — but the secret isn’t grip strength ✨

✨ Create the lock through the lean of the body
✨ Tilt the hips to help the legs secure around the pole
✨ Let the position do the work instead of over-squeezing

When the body angle is right, the leg grip becomes so much stronger and more comfortable.

Less clinging on… more feeling properly locked in 💫

Fallen Star / Hang Glider Tutorial 💫

This one is all about the inside arm position ✨

✨ Set the inside arm properly before you commit to the shape
✨ Better arm placement = stronger contact points and more stability
✨ It also gives you way more options for exits and transitions out of the move

If the arm is too high, too loose, or in the wrong angle, the whole shape feels less secure and harder to control.

Get the contact points organised first, and the move suddenly feels much more supported 💫

23/05/2026

The key to this one is creating space and balance before you try to move the legs ✨

✨ As you reach back with the hand, open the chest and shoulders
✨ Give yourself enough space to find a really secure grip
✨ Once you’ve found the grip, slide the inside hand down to tilt the body and begin shifting the centre of gravity
✨ Inside leg comes off first as the weight starts to move
✨ Let the head move back naturally with the shape

If the setup is right, it should feel stable enough that you can move the legs around without panic or rushing.

A secure Dragon Tail feels controlled and open — not like you’re desperately trying to hold on 💫

Cupid ➝ Butterfly 💫

The biggest mistake people make in Cupid?
✨ Dropping down into it.

Instead:

✨ Think about pushing out into the shape
✨ Then squeeze the legs together to create the hold
✨ Stay controlled as you reach and find the pole
✨ Hold the position first before moving on

Then for the transition into butterfly:
✨ Let the shoulders drop
✨ Lift through the hips
✨ Keep the movement connected and smooth

When Cupid is active and supported, the butterfly transition feels so much lighter ✨

“I wish I’d done this years ago.”

This feedback honestly means a lot 🤍

One of the things I’ve loved most about teaching the Effort Less Method is seeing how changes show up in real everyday life — walking, hills, stairs, balance, confidence, tension, posture and just feeling less like the body is fighting itself.

This testimonial especially stood out to me because she’s already active and a hillwalker — yet still discovered she’d been using far more effort than she needed to.

The course explores how the body naturally organises movement when we stop over-managing and over-bracing.

No forcing posture.
No fitness pressure.
No complicated exercises.

Just learning how to move with less unnecessary effort.

🌿 Beginner friendly
🌿 Neurodivergent friendly
🌿 Suitable for all fitness levels
