💛🖤🏉 UNDER 10s v UNDERBANK RANGERS ARLFC 🏉💛🖤
Last Saturday we our U10s were back on the road and made the long journey across to Holmfirth (Last of the Summer W**e country, for those who can remember!), to play Underbank Rangers.
A warm welcome awaited us on arrival at Underbank, with the pitch looking in great condition and the sun shining, albeit a bit windy, the Swillington players were excited for the match ahead.
Player numbers were similar for both teams so we were able to play equal sides.
And with good pre match preparations from Swillington we were vocal and seemed fired up once again for the game.
Swillington played downhill, with the sun and gusty wind behind them in the first half and that really helped as they got off to a great start and built up a good momentum showcasing some great rugby skills for the travelling supporters.
Underbank grew into the game and made this a really well contested game with solid displays and good rugby skills on show from both sides.
The second half saw the home side take advantage of the slope and they pushed hard to make it a nail biting finish. Swillington though, worked hard and never gave up and they took their chances and were rewarded when given the opportunity.
A brilliant game from both sides one which all the supporters enjoyed watching.
Big thanks to coach Ben and the rest of the Underbank Rangers coaching team, and to all their players for a brilliant morning of rugby. Shout out to all the kids from both teams who played in the match for their efforts in making it a really competitive match for everyone to enjoy.
A HUGE well done to all our certificate winners too who were recognised for their great performances on the pitch.
Today is our last game of the season for our U10s, and we welcome visitors West Craven Warriors ARLFC to Swillington. We are expecting another great morning of rugby, so let's get behind the kids. Looking forward to it!
