ππ CELEBRATING OUR JUNIORS! ππ
As we reach the halfway stage of the season, it is a great opportunity to reflect on the progress and achievements across our thriving junior section
Across all age groups, our young cricketers have shown tremendous enthusiasm, commitment and development. Our Tots continue to have great fun while developing their cricket skills and building a love for the game. Meanwhile, our U9s have made excellent progress, with outstanding training attendance and enthusiasm shown every week.
The U11 Colts have made great strides this season, with 10 of the squad's 12 players playing hardball cricket for the first time.. Whilst the U11 Cougars continue to make excellent progress, showing great commitment at training and growing confidence with every game.
The U13s and U15s have enjoyed a great start to the season, with all teams showing significant development. Many players have successfully stepped up an age group and have thrived in competitive matches.
U18s β Unbeaten and Flying High
The Under 18s have made an exceptional start to the campaign and currently remain unbeaten in the league. With nine league matches still to play and a cup tie ahead, they have put themselves in a strong position for the second half of the season.
Highlights include a commanding eight-wicket victory away at Shadwell and a thrilling last-ball win over Thackley. In that dramatic victory, George H returned figures of 3-15 before Max H struck the winning runs from the final delivery to secure a memorable one-wicket win. The squad continues to demonstrate excellent teamwork, commitment and resilience, with contributions coming from right across the group.
Overall, it has been a fantastic first half of the season!
