Hi all. The first class starts tomorrow – Tuesday 19th May - at 9.30am – 10.30am at Moortown Social Club, Cranmer Gardens, Leeds LS17 5LA.
This class is suitable for anyone – you don’t need to be fit to start – you can train at your own pace. This also means that those of you who have a higher level of fitness will also benefit greatly from the training.
Get fit whilst learning effective and applicable martial arts techniques! No membership required for this class – simply bring your class fee which is just £6.

The class is easily accessed by road it is just off King Lane and the Leeds outer ring road, opposite Allerton High School and near the Moor Allerton Sainsbury’s and Homebase shopping complex.
It is easy to get to by car and there is plenty of parking at the club itself.

Who is it for…
The classes are for any females who would like to improve their fitness and learn some Self-Defence at the same time. You can train whatever your level of fitness is; if you are feel you are not as fit as you would like – you can train at your own pace and build up gradually. Likewise if you feel if you would like to push yourself more then you will have the chance to do so.
You don’t need to be a member of the Martial Arts club to train in this class – if you do wish to develop more specialised martial arts skills by training in our evening and weekend sessions, then because you are training in our first female-only class you will receive a special offer on membership. Please enquire for more details.
What you will be doing…
The class starts with a warm-up, then demonstrations and explanations of the techniques you will be doing. Routines will be covered and practiced slowly before the pace is increased.
The classes are designed to burn-fat – as you will be varying the intensity of your workout – both naturally due to the flow of the class and also at your discretion. The principle of fat-burning and fitness training here may be familiar to those who have ever done any interval-training.
Strengthening and balance-work exercises will also be included.
There will be a period of cool-down and stretching of 15 minutes at the end of each class.
