🧠Exercise & mental health 🧠

A lot has been mentioned recently about all the benefits that exercise has on your mental health & well being.

So what are the benefits??
Well there are so many positives that people get from going to the gym, the obvious 1 being the happy hormones that are released during exercise that leave you feeling great afterwards!!! 😁😁
Even though that's a big part of it, there is so much more to it than that.

People who go to the gym feel a sense of belonging, they feel like they're part of something, part of a community of like minded individuals who are all there for the same reason, to train, lift weights, encourage each other & better themselves in a positive environment!! 🙏

Alongside that training also gives you a daily purpose, a reason to get up every morning and it provides you with a solid foundation & structure which then has a positive effect on every other aspect of your life!!

To the outsiders we're just a bunch of vain meatheads, but for all of us, we know that there is so much more to it than that!

There are so many positive benefits mentally & physically to being a member of a gym & following a good training program, which is why it's definitely the right decision from the government to keep gyms open now, no matter what tier you fall under.

🔥Current physique🔥

I've been working very hard in the gym lately to give myself something to focus my mind on, alongside that my diet has been pretty much meticulous, and after doing 50-100g of carbs a day for the past 10 days my physique is starting to pop a little!!!
Here's a pic of my current condition.

Getting your diet nailed really is the key to your physique goals, especially if your wanting to be lean!!

And people banging on about it gets harder as you get older??
Bu****it, stop putting barriers up!
I'm 40 now, and I honestly feel healthier than I've ever felt in my life, I have no injuries and my metabolism is more efficient than ever!!!

Those that achieve big things in life are generally just those people that consistently make the right choices time and time again.

Here is the winning formula for a chiseled midsection!!

🔥Good genetics (first & foremost!!).
🔥Disipline & consistency with nutrition whilst being in a deficit for a long enough period to get bodyfat to sub 10%.
🔥Good form and bracing hard on your compound lifts will help build thickness in your core over time.
🔥3-4 sets of hanging leg raises twice per week for a little refinement.
🔥Patience, don't expect things to happen overnight. Rome wasn't built in a day!!

Coming from a rough council estate in Leeds I never take being able to do these sort of things for granted! 👊
