Nothing to see here but 94kg of pure Yorkshire Beef smashing out my top set on the Incline Barbell Press this morning nailing 160kg x 4 solid ass reps!! 🏆🏆🏆

🧠Exercise & mental health 🧠

A lot has been mentioned recently about all the benefits that exercise has on your mental health & well being.
-
So what are the benefits??
Well there are so many positives that people get from going to the gym, the obvious 1 being the happy hormones that are released during exercise that leave you feeling great afterwards!!! 😁😁
Even though that's a big part of it, there is so much more to it than that.
-
People who go to the gym feel a sense of belonging, they feel like they're part of something, part of a community of like minded individuals who are all there for the same reason, to train, lift weights, encourage each other & better themselves in a positive environment!! 🙏
-
Alongside that training also gives you a daily purpose, a reason to get up every morning and it provides you with a solid foundation & structure which then has a positive effect on every other aspect of your life!!
-
To the outsiders we're just a bunch of vain meatheads, but for all of us, we know that there is so much more to it than that!
-
There are so many positive benefits mentally & physically to being a member of a gym & following a good training program, which is why it's definitely the right decision from the government to keep gyms open now, no matter what tier you fall under.

🔥Current physique🔥

I've been working very hard in the gym lately to give myself something to focus my mind on, alongside that my diet has been pretty much meticulous, and after doing 50-100g of carbs a day for the past 10 days my physique is starting to pop a little!!!
Here's a pic of my current condition.

Getting your diet nailed really is the key to your physique goals, especially if your wanting to be lean!!

And people banging on about it gets harder as you get older??
Bu****it, stop putting barriers up!
I'm 40 now, and I honestly feel healthier than I've ever felt in my life, I have no injuries and my metabolism is more efficient than ever!!!

Not only is weight training the number 1 thing around for keeping your mind healthy & keep your mental health in check, its also nature's number 1 anti-aging formula as well!!!

So many health benefits to lifting weights & the healthy lifestyle that comes with it, so if you're not already lifting, why the hell not???? 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆

What a workout this morning!!

In all of the most stressful times of my life I have always found solace in the gym, it has always been like a sanctuary to me!
-
Now as I work through the toughest time ever, it is no different, I channel all my emotion and stress into my workouts and it helps me deal with the things that I have going in my mind!
-
This morning I channeled all that emotional energy into my chest workout and I felt like an absolute beast!!

I worked upto this top set of 160kg x 5 clean reps on the Incline, which at my current low bodyweigh of only 93kg (205lb) is probably the best I've ever done at this weight.
-
Whatever you are going through in your life, don't sit around feeling sorry for yourself, get up, get in the gym and do some exercise, it is always garuenteed to make you feel better! 💪

Here is the winning formula for a chiseled midsection!!
-
🔥Good genetics (first & foremost!!).
🔥Disipline & consistency with nutrition whilst being in a deficit for a long enough period to get bodyfat to sub 10%.
🔥Good form and bracing hard on your compound lifts will help build thickness in your core over time.
🔥3-4 sets of hanging leg raises twice per week for a little refinement.
🔥Patience, don't expect things to happen overnight. Rome wasn't built in a day!!

Coming from a rough council estate in Leeds I never take being able to do these sort of things for granted! 👊

Now when most people think of a PT studio they think of a little room with a bike and a few weights.....
Nah!!! Thats not for me that R.kid!!!!
If I'm doing something, I'm going to do it properly and I'm going to do it bigger and better than anyone else! 👊

Here's an awesome throwback to what is still the best transformation I've ever done with a female client!

I coached for around 18 months back in 2015/16 and in that time we managed to transform her figure and totally alter her body composition as she dropped around 20kg and went on to win her first show!!
