Luty Cup Final on Wednesday evening as we take on Leeds 1888 at Ossett United. First cup final as a club so it’s a game we are hugely up for after a great cup run to get us here seeing us beat Atlanta, North West and Kippax OB - all of which were great matches where we showed exactly what we’re all about when it matters.
Don’t know a right lot about our opposition, look to have had a decent season in the league, so we know they’ll be at it as well, but we’ll be leaving everything out on that pitch to come away with the trophy.
All support very much welcome! Come down, have a beer or a bovril and cheer on the boys, we’ve had some superb support all season long, so thanks to everyone who has come down rain or shine - mostly rain to be fair.
Kick off is 19:30 at Ossett United.
£5 for adults which is an absolute bargain given the games we’ve had so far, entertainment guaranteed!

WE ARE IN THE FINAL!!
Semi final victory finally for the lads this morning as beat Kippax OB coming from 2-1 down to win 3-2 in a game that had everything.
We started the game well and took the lead after Cookie was played through and finished well through the keepers legs. Kippax then had a spell on top and capitalised scoring twice. They were well on top at this point in truth with us having a few counter attacks here and there. They had a man sent off for a second yellow which probably turned the game with 10 to play. Ste whipped in a superb corner, Sharkey met it with his knee and it flew into the corner of the net to equalise. Then with 2 minutes left on the clock, Cookie was played through 1on1 and their defender took him out, last man, red card. Up stepped Cookie, last minute of the game, he smashed the free kick in the top corner to give us the lead, absolute pandemonium!
The effort, desire and resilience of the lads was unbelievable, we could have easily packed in at 2-1 down when Kippax were on top, but we stood up to it and took our chances when they came. Noodle was outstanding in net saving a number of chances, not for the first time this season.
First final as a club in our 4th season, with most of the lads still there from our very first game, nothing more than they deserve after semi final defeats in the seasons before.
Big thanks to everyone who came down and supported us in their numbers!!

Luty Cup semi final on Sunday as we take on Kippax OB at Fleet Lane.
Had some battles with Kippax over the last couple of years so the lads know what they’re about and are bang up for it as we look to make our first final as a club after a few near misses. We’ve played some good stuff this year without getting the rewards so we know we’re more than capable of getting a result.
All support very much welcome, get down and cheer on the lads. 11am KO.

Typical sort of end of season game this morning as we go down 4-2 to Kurdistan. Not a game filled with great quality but the conditions didn’t help that. 1-1 at halftime but second half we didn’t turn up for the most part.
That’s the league season done, being a slog of a year with some really good sides in the league, a relegation to reset is probably needed where we can regroup and go again after 2 hard years in Div1. Massive game next week in the Luty Cup semi final, hopefully we can grab a shot at silverware to add some gloss on a tricky season.

Final league game of the season Sunday and it’s a reverse of last weeks fixture with us taking on Kurdistan at home. Was a decent game last week and we were unlucky to get nothing out of it. Hopefully we can end the league campaign with 3 points.
All support welcome. 11am KO on Stan Park.

Went down 1-0 this morning in what was pretty grim conditions. We had much the better chances throughout the game but just couldn’t find a way to get the ball in the net, one of them days. They scored midway through the second half after Noodle made a great save onto the post but it fell back to their man on the line who tapped in typically. Another day we win 4/5-1 but the performances throughout the team were really good to say we only had 12 lads. Go again next week against the same opposition in the final league game of the season.
