We are so excited to announce our Bettany Dance Summer School this July! Three days of dancing, singing, games, activities and so much more — we cannot wait! 🌟
Open to all — you don't have to be a Bettany Dance student to join in, so please do spread the word! 🤍

This year marks an incredibly special milestone for us — 50 years of Bettany Dance! 🌟 We would love to welcome some new faces as we celebrate this amazing journey.

We offer classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz and Acro for ages 3 and above across Sherburn, South Milford and Castleford — with opportunities to take part in exams, our annual show and for those who want it, our competition team.

We’re delighted to welcome Kimberley Benn to the We Are Sherburn Board of Directors 🎉

Kimberley is a familiar face to many in our community, having grown up locally, attended Sherburn High School, and now living back in Sherburn with her family.

With an incredibly varied background spanning professional sport, international performance analysis, business ownership, and health & fitness, Kimberley brings a fantastic mix of experience, energy, and community spirit to the board.

As a local business owner and passionate advocate for supporting others, Kimberley understands first-hand the importance of collaboration, connection, and creating opportunities for businesses and our wider community to thrive.

Kimberley loves meeting new people, networking, and being part of a team - values that align perfectly with what We Are Sherburn is all about.

Sherburn Gala has been such a special local event for generations and such an important part of the community over the years.

As we also head towards our own 50th year at Bettany Dance, it feels incredibly special to see this super event celebrating such an amazing milestone.

Bettany Dance — Show 2026 💙

I don’t even have the words. Watching every single one of our performers take to that stage tonight filled me with the most incredible pride — from our tiniest dancers right through to our seniors, every single one of you was absolutely amazing. 🌟

A huge thank you to our brilliant teaching team and everyone who helped behind the scenes — it truly takes a village and we are so grateful for every single one of you. 🤍

We are so lucky to call this our dance family. Thank you to everyone who came to support — we hope you loved it as much as we did.

✨ Mini’s Jazz Tech ✨

Starts Wednesday 13th May!

We’re so excited to launch this brand new class for our younger dancers aged 5–9. 💙

Mini’s Jazz Tech will focus on jazz technique and prep work for kicks, turns and leaps — building strength, control and confidence whilst honing technique in a fun and supportive environment.

We are so proud to share that Miss .edwards has been shortlisted for the Judith Sylvester Young Teacher Award — for the second year running!

Such a well deserved recognition and a true reflection of the dedication and passion she brings to her teaching every single week. We are so lucky to have her as part of the Bettany Dance team and we will absolutely be keeping our fingers crossed! 💙
