Project update: Supporting the Yorkshire Storm Overflow Alliance 🪨

We recently supplied thousands of 40mm washed and recycled Type 1 aggregates in Bradford.

The wider initiative, led by Yorkshire Water, aims to reduce storm overflow discharges into the region's waterways through improvements, including:

👉 Underground storage tanks
👉 Nature-based solutions
👉 Sustainable drainage systems.

We're proud to support projects like this by supplying high-quality materials to keep major infrastructure works moving.

Project Update: Ponderosa Zoo 🦁

We're delighted to have recently supplied 60 tonnes of sand to a local zoo.

The sand, taken from our Temple Quarry, was delivered to Ponderosa Zoo to create a beach area families can enjoy while spending time with some amazing animals!

✔️ Clear any furniture from the area
✔️ Mix warm water and washing-up liquid in a bucket
✔️ Scrub the patio using a hard-bristled brush
✔️ Rinse with clean water and allow to dry.

➡️ Power washing:
✔️ Remove furniture and sweep away loose dirt
✔️ Use a power washer to clean the surface from side to side
✔️ Take care not to wash out the joints between paving stones
✔️ Allow the patio to dry before replacing furniture.

Last week, we shared a project update ⤵️

Where we supplied 200 tonnes of 10mm washed aggregate to Hullah Contractors for land drainage works.

However, as the project progressed at Harrogate Rugby Club, requirements changed and additional materials were needed (something that's often the case on large-scale jobs).

In the end, Mone Bros supplied approximately 500 tonnes of 10mm washed aggregate to support the drainage works and keep the project moving forward.
