Despite the disruption, Leodis began creating chances. The first half wasn’t without controversy, as Jason was on the receiving end of a dirty challenge, earning East Leeds’ number 10 a deserved yellow card. Leodis continued to attack, registering several near misses before finally making the breakthrough. Trowy found the net to give Leodis a 1–0 lead. Leodis rotated their squad with a series of substitutions, injecting fresh energy into the side. One lighter moment came when Olly took an awkward — and unforgettable — tumble, raising smiles among teammates and spectators alike. Leodis held firm to take a 1–0 advantage into the break.
In the second half Leodis thought they had doubled their lead early on, only for the flag to deny them for offside. Undeterred, the chances kept coming and being missed… before Trowy struck again, to make it 2–0 and strengthen Leodis’ control of the match.
Another goal was chalked off for offside, but it wasn’t long before Leodis added a third — Liam getting on the scoresheet to make it 3–0 and seemingly put the game beyond doubt. East Leeds pulled one back from the penalty spot to reduce the deficit to 3–1.
Despite the weather and a disjointed start- Leodis start the new year with a win!

First Half:
Leodis kicked off the match in a bit of a tricky situation, starting with only 12 players. The mood was low, but there was still a glimmer of hope. A collision in the goal led to a disallowed goal for Harehills. Lucky escape for Leodis. With all the chaos and tension, it was no surprise that the first half ended 0-0.
Second Half:
The second half began with a light drizzle coming down, setting the tone for what was about to be a much more eventful 45 minutes. There was some serious drama near the goal—though, honestly, I’m not even sure what happened. It looked interesting though, lots of action, plenty of shouting, and the pace picked up noticeably.
Leodis finally broke the deadlock with a goal—but of course, it wasn’t without controversy. A scrap broke out immediately after, with the ref “looking the other way,” as per usual. The goal scorer, GR, clearly had some extra motivation after taking a stamp to the head earlier in the match—fair play, GR, you earned that one.
Just when it seemed like the drama might die down, Liam came through with another goal for Leodis, making it 2-0. It was a well-timed strike that pretty much sealed the game.
Unfortunately, things weren’t all smooth sailing for Leodis. Jake Harrison, who’d been running hard all game, ended up with a head injury and had to leave the pitch bleeding. That definitely added a bit of tension to the end of the match.
Final Score: 2-0 to Leodis
Merry Christmas everyone see you pitch side next year!

Leodis started bright with some lovely link-up play in the final third. A slick move eventually found Trowy on the edge of the box and he absolutely hammered it home to make it 1–0.
Beldon responded and grabbed an equaliser, making 1-1 half-time.
Second half, they struck first to go 2–1 up — but Leodis dug in.
Liam let fly with a low driven strike that the keeper could only parry and Joe Rainford reacted fastest, sliding in and lifting it into the roof of the net to level things at 2–2.
Momentum shifted our way and Leodis kept piling on the pressure.
A loose ball dropped to Cal, the keeper was off his line, and Cal caught it clean — a beautiful looping finish that arced over the goalkeeper and dropped perfectly into the back of the net. P
Beldon kept pushing late on, but couldn’t break through a rock-solid Leodis defence.

Leodis took on Beldon Sports this weekend and marked the occasion with a statement 6–3 victory. Featuring two debut performances and a blistering start that set the tone for the match.
Leodis got off to a flying start, winning an early penalty which Liam confidently converted to give Leodis the lead right from the get-go. Momentum stayed firmly on our side, with Noah, one of the debutants bagging the second goal, assisted by Jake Harrison, who made an instant impact after coming on for the injured Marco. Shortly after Trowy struck from distance to make it 3–0 within just 15 minutes.
Leodis didn’t let up, continuing to pile on the pressure. Both Trowy and GR added to the tally, taking the scoreline to 5–0 before Beldon were awarded a penalty just before the break, which they converted to make it 5–1 at halftime.
The second half saw Jake Harrison get his name on the scoresheet with an early goal, capping off an impressive performance. Beldon managed to pull two more back, but it wasn’t enough, the match finished 6–3.
It was a much-needed win for Leodis, full of energy, teamwork, and strong debut performances. Man of the Match

The game kicked off with a very echoey pitch (slightly annoying, but we move). Liam wasted no time, slotting one home in the first five minutes to put Leodis 1-0 up! Despite some serious slipping and sliding, 1888 equalised before Joe Rainford fired Leodis back in front. Unfortunately, another late goal from 1888 made it 2-2 at half time.
The second half started with tension in the Leodis ranks, and 1888 capitalised — twice — taking a 4-2 lead (their free kick goal was apparently “naughty, bro”). George spent a stint in the sin bin, and Liam even picked up a yellow trying to help him back on — heroic stuff.
Final score: 4-2 to 1888.
All we can say is… thank god Leodis aren’t dramatic!
