When you've spent all day looking after everything and everyone else, when do you make time for yourself?
One of our students recently described how difficult it can be to get back out of the house for Krav Maga after a full day of work and family commitments.
Sometimes, she's exhausted before training even begins.
Sometimes, she really doesn't feel like going.
But she makes herself turn up. And afterwards, she feels like a βbloody super heroβ. β€οΈ
Why? Because it's about more than the physical training.
It's learning practical self-defence skills, pushing yourself, having a laugh and spending time with people who encourage you. It's two hours in the week that belong to you.
She told us that the feeling afterwards helps carry her through the rest of the week.
That's something we love about the Spartans community. You don't have to be the fittest, the strongest or the most confident person in the room. You just have to be willing to give it a go.
Curious about Krav Maga in Leeds?
Our Spartans classes teach practical, real-world self-defence in a supportive environment, with people of different abilities training together.
If you've been thinking about trying a class, send us a message. We'll help you find out about trial sessions and what to expect.
You never know what a couple of hours a week could do for you. π€β€οΈ
