YAL Firsts pick up another point after it ends all square against Yorkshire Ammers.

The lads have started life at Step 7 really well proving to be a good test for anyone in the division so far and have now picked up 7 out of a possible 9 points in our last 3 games.

It’s an opening day defeat for our YAL Reserves today. We came from behind twice to level the game but Queensbury got their third and went on to win.

YAL Firsts host the early leaders Yorkshire Ammers tomorrow. The lads are coming off the back of a great week with 2 wins and go into another tough game full of confidence.

Our YAL Reserves kick off their season tomorrow afternoon as we make the trip over to Queensbury. The lads have been busy over the summer ahead of the new campaign and we’re hoping for a big season from these boys!

WELCOME TO SOUTH LEEDS, STEVE STENNETT 🤝

We can now announce the appointment of Steve Stennett as our new First Team Manager.

Steve joins us alongside his current role as Academy Manager and Youth Team Coach at Emley AFC. Steve recently led his Emley U23s to back-to-back league titles an achievement that highlights his ability to develop players, build a winning mentality and get the best out of a group.

As a club, we feel now is the right time to go for a new approach and go out and give someone an opportunity at this level who is hungry to come in bring something different to what we are used to and bring fresh ideas and help the team develop.

We know we need some longevity in somebody now and results need to improve and we believe Steve is the right person to help us move forward, develop the team and ultimately get South Leeds competing where we believe we should be.

Please join us in welcoming Steve to the club and we wish him every success in his new role.

It ends all even at South Leeds Stadium tonight as a point is shared with Club Thorne.

The lads showed some real character to come from behind twice and some real big chances missed late on to go and win the game but the battle and willingness from the lads tonight was there to see.
