Livvy made her Women’s Senior debut and took 4-15 from four overs with one maiden.

Not only that but she took the first hattrick for Rawdon’s Women’s section.

Another incredible performance from the Women’s section and an RCC homegrown player 💙

Great stuff Livvy 👏

Congratulations Maggie for her 6-32 against Otley for the 2nd XI today and her maiden RCC 5fer!

Great to see another big performance in the 2s after Tom’s 7fer last weekend 🙌

BIG Sunday of cricket ahead (weather permitting...) 🤞

Our Women's 2nd XI play their first game at home against Menston, after a rained-off fixture earlier this month.

After a nail-biting league game, the Women's 1st XI are back in T20-action against North Leeds, and our 3rd XI will be visiting Calverley.

Get behind the teams! Go well 💙

Remembering Wally Firth.

Everyone at Rawdon Cricket Club is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Walter “Wally” Firth.

Wally was a proud part of the club for many decades, playing for RCC from the 1950s through to the 1980s.

Wally captained the first team for at least five seasons over three separate spells. Whilst our statistical playing records date back only as far as 1964, we do know that between 1964 and his last year in 1982 Wally scored over 4000 1st team runs. And as such he is comfortably among our top 10 run scorers of all time.

By the end of his playing days Wally was at the forefront of the developing junior set up, coaching what were then just under 15s and under 18s teams. This he did primarily alongside Edwin Griggs and Ronnie Lawson, to name but two other club stalwarts. Wally was then bestowed the honour of life membership.

Even after his playing days, Wally remained a familiar presence around the ground, watching the first team home and away on most Saturdays, at least until the last couple of years.

Wally was truly part of the fabric and history of Rawdon Cricket Club, and he will be greatly missed.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time.

Wally’s Funeral is at Rawdon Crematorium at 10:45am 9th June.

From U9s to 2nd XI cricket 💙🏏

Saturday was another proud day for the club as Stan Bates and Dexter Burgin made their senior debuts for the 2nd XI - having both started their journeys at RCC aged just 6 🙌

Between them, they’ve represented at Yorkshire regional level and continue to play across U13s, U15s and U18s, and now senior cricket too 👏

Stan also made an instant impact on Saturday, breaking a 135-run partnership with 2 wickets in 4 balls - including an unfortunate batter dismissed for 96 🫣

Brilliant to see homegrown players coming through the pathway and making their mark 💪💙
