Congratulations to Milo at today’s Jensei North West karate competition. Milo performed his kata brilliantly. 🥉

Just got back from the Amateur Martial Arts tournament in Bury. Milo Allen (a 1st Kyu brown belt) was competing in only his second competition. In categories containing black belts and seasoned international competitors he narrowly missed out on a medal by 0.1 marks. What an amazing performance and his katas were a reflection of all the hard work put in over the last few weeks. In my book he’s a champion. Well done Milo. He’s ready to go again in another competition 😁

We are closed this Friday, but open on Saturday and all other sessions in the school holidays.
Some more dates for your diaries:

Thursday 7 May – Club closed
Classes are closed as the hall is being used as a polling station. Turn up to any other session to catch up on your lessons.

Friday 8 May – Kyu grading
For all students aged 8 to 12. Please hand in your licence book and grading fee at least a week before the grading date.

Monday 18 May – Ninja grading
Please let me know if you want to grade and pay the grading fee prior to the date.

Congratulations to our two new black belts. Well done Tristan and Jonathan. Amazing grading today. Well deserved after many years hard work. Both ends of the age spectrum 😆🤣

Congratulations to Charlotte and Steve for passing their black belt gradings. Well deserved after all your hard work and commitment. I didn’t realise that Charlotte has been training with us for 10 years since she was a little dot. Wow. I am extremely proud of you both.

Congratulations to Nico on passing his green belt. A wonderful set of photos showing his dedication and progress. Whilst Nico has grown upwards, I think I've grown outwards! Could also do with my arms extending. Must have a word with the Mrs to alter my suit.

Happy Birthday Louie and thank you Gemma for the fabulous chocolate brownies. Our students on Friday loved them.
