Despite my very odd and at times debilitating symptoms relective of a csf leak in the spine, I am managing most of the time to push everyone in the new Volume Training class and the continuing HIIT class amongst many others in a week. You rock guys! I did my own small workout today too as I just hate not being able to train properly. So I will see how I feel tomorrow! π¬ Well done all of you and see you soon!

Working with Ben on knee valgus (knees falling in towards each other) and tiptoe walking in particular is a highlight and challenge of PT at Anytime. When I first met Ben he tried a squat and nearly fell sideways (and I felt dreadful!) We have worked for about 18 months together and now Ben tells me he squats at least 40kg regularly at the squat rack. We built up our exercises from TRX squats to bodyweight with a pole to weighted.
I built a Primal Flow specifically for him this week (last video) as a warm up and he did jumping squats too as part of our first HIIT session including farmers walks and crab walks too. There have been lots of drills to strengthen glute medius and lots of yoga postures to improve alignment and various heel to toe exercises.
Ben is always up for a challenge and mega keen to try things which others might find comparatively daunting. Ben, you rock and I love working with you. I am so so thrilled at the progress you have made and continue to make. ππͺπ½πͺπ½πͺπ½

Back on the start line at 50. Paula Radcliffe proving that the love for running doesnβt fade with time. πββοΈ
A decade after retirement, stepping into a marathon again takes more than fitness. It takes courage, perspective, and a deep connection to the sport that never really leaves you.
Some careers end, but the runner mindset never does.

Soooo happy to be on a real bike (not just Spin!) again! A good start to the holsπ Off to a Good Friday procession and service later too if all is well. The term 'airhead' is reaching new heights for me as I literally feel as if I have air running through my head. This explains alot π Very unpleasant but as a good day I will take it. Air is better than pain in this suspected csf leak journey! Thank you Justine for the gorgeous hat!

Whoop! My week is still full and people are training hard with me in various settings. HIIT class is back tomorrow with yoga and Spin. Hope you enjoy the post and classes as much as meπ€£ Meanwhile the pressure in my skull drops as I stand with you so I have to lie flat to do the rest of my life to raise it up again π€¨ππ Thank you for patience and understanding as I attempt to get out of this situation for the second time in my life!

Fabulous morning with Jane in Chapel Allerton at Headstart. What a treat! Lovely new look and great chats. Shame I am horizontal now carrying out my 5th attempt at getting myself a private appointment with a neurologist in London. Lots of training in the park earlier though before the severe low pressure headache got nasty.

Spring pictures from the weekend. Healing and joy come in all forms. The gifts of friends and friendship itself is a great medicene. The irises were from the lovely ladies at Stainbeck URC. I didn't have a camera for the daffodils in the hollies and the rhodedendrons. I managed a little run! ππStanding 1.5 hour this morning though in the kitchen etc and what feels like a brain drain continues until the salty taste appears and remains. Lying now to get enough csf back in for the morning gentle exercise class and PT. Ho hum.

Bought myself this swanky new cycling baselayer in the hope that I may be able to cycle again before too long. I am grateful for all the training I have done to build my mental health for challenging times returning to this extent for me. Being nervous of being upright for too long is not a challenge many of us think we will face and certainly not me! 16 years in to this head pain world now which just got more challenging.
