"Today saw our teams take the short trip to shaw cross for the 1st time. We all had a chat before the games started about what we needed them to do and boy did my team stick to that, with only conceding 1 try in the games.

The kids started with the ball and didn’t take much time to get started, with using the ball wisely they got their way upfield with some strong running to then use it out wide with some great hands to get over the try line. In defence they worked tirelessly in the heat for one another which was great to see. The line speed made it very hard for the opposition to make any yards. It was great to see all the kids playing with a smile on their faces. Another great day of rugby. Keep going kids"

"Today's game saw our team travel the short distance to Shawcross for the first time and we knew we were in for a tough game in the blistering heat, my team consisted of Jed, Louie, Roman, Tobias Edward, Jordey and Jacob N. In our first game we showed the opposition what we were made of, with some solid defensive tackles throughout the team, with Jordey and Louie stopping them getting round on one wing and with Jed and Tobias covering the other wing which the opposition couldn't get around, and Roman, Edward and Jacob N, working well in the middle to prevent them from scoring up the middle, as the game went on my team showed true grit and took on board what we have been saying in training about finding that extra effort when tired allowing only 1 try to be conceded in the first game, in attack again we showing what we were made of with Tobias, Jed and Jordey showed their silky footwork scoring some amazing individual tries with Roman, Louie, Edward and Jacob N showing their strength moving the team forward and scoring some great tries. In the second game tiredness kicked in (not suprisd) and we conceded 3 more tries but we showed our skills and managed to score 6 of our own. I cannot be any prouder of my team in the way they dug deep and constantly played well in this heat especially Edward and Jed who suffer from Asthma and at times struggled but carried on. Well done to everyone👏"

This weekend saw most of the squad travel down to the rhinos challenge in Butlins where the parents were entertained to some fantastic rugby shown by all. My team consisted of Jacob b, Roman,Tobias, Caleb, Xander and Joshua.

The 1st day we came across 4 good team where the kids had to work hard in attack to gain yards and to crash over the line and in defence the line speed was there and also some great tackles from all the kids.
The 2nd day the kids dominated their games with starting like a house on fire and not letting the opposition get going, with some brilliant carries and passing work made easy for tries to be scored. In defence to kids talked well and worked hard to not to let the teams score against them. After the final game the kids sang their hunslet song with the flag waving high feeling proud of what they had achieved from the big weekend. To top it off in the presentation Tobias only went and got man of steel for the 2nd year running which is a great achivement and never been done before. I can say that It has and is a pleasure to coach this great group of kids,🔥🔥🔥🔥

This week end has been brilliant what can I say butlins did not disappoint my team consisted of Louie Heidi Edward Jacob N Laurie, Zac B

Day 1 saw my team have 4 games the 1st 2 games we was on a great role dominating play in both attack and defence the 3rd game against pilkington saw there first test which pilkington tipped the scales and then we redeem ourselves in the last game once again dominating the Final game of the day with the team taken by 1st team ahead coach Jamie fields which the kids really enjoyed.

Day 2 we had 3 games we was very slow off the mark against a well drilled goldborne but our defence and attach stood strong and echache try’s from both teams, this then seemed to put fire in the belly’s of the team to show another dominant performance over Wigan at Jude’s not conceding any try’s and showing how Hunslet get of the line

The final game against Stanningley was a fantastic game of rugby after a long tournament the team showed up and we dominated in all aspects of defence attack and grubbers with another game not conceding any try’s try

Every child needs to be proud of them selfs they showed up for each other and most off all bonded as team and enjoyed the experience 🔥🔥🔥
