BRCA 1:10th Off Road Nationals 2026 Romeo Done!

Round 6 would be held at my local track Batley Buggy Club! What an unbelievable job the Batley crew did. Credit to everyone who took the time to help at the track and get it to a really good National Standard.
Both layouts flowed and were super fun to drive.

I was hoping for a bit of home advantage at this National but unfortunately the rain came at the wrong time for me across both days. ☹️

2wd would start well with a 30 in round 1. Unfortunately due to the weather and poor driving from my self I would back the round score up with a 72 which would set me 84th overall. Unfortunately my worst result this year.
Nevertheless I had a really good race in the final and managed to finish where I started.

4wd would start well with a 22 In round 1.
Again due to weather and poor driving I would back it up with a 55 lining me up 47th overall.
Not the best day but still inside my aim of top 50 throughout this year.
From 7th on the grid I managed to take the win and fastest lap over the 5 minutes after some really good battles.

In 2wd I would finish 54th
In 4wd I would finish 43rd in the championships which I don’t think is too bad for my first year competing in the national series.

I managed to gain my F2N In both classes which I was super pleased with 😁

My and have performed brilliantly all year. Bring on 2027!!

BRCA 1:10th Off Road Nationals Round 6 Ready!

This time at my local track Batley Buggy Club. Hopefully we can push for some more mega results to finish the season off.

WOW. What a weekend that was!!

This past weekend would see BRCA 1:10th Off Road Nationals Round 5 at Bury Metro RCC and what an awesome job both the 1:10th committee and Bury team did.

Both the 2 and 4wd layouts were super fun to drive!!

2wd would be fairly decent for me. With my aim to qualify top 50 at all the nationals this year I would qualify 41st overall. Starting E1 and just missing out on the D final I tried to keep it nice and steady in the final but after quite a bit of carnage I managed to finish 47th which I was pleased with. 😁

4wd would be a day to remember. My was absolutely dialled. With my best round scores to date being a 19 and 21 I’d qualify 24th overall.😮
I managed to hold my nerve in the C final against a rapid Matthew Thompson to bring home 2nd place. Finishing 22nd overall in my first year of nationals is something I will never forget!

Both my cars were phenomenal all weekend and we had some great laughs in the pits!

BRCA North East Regionals Round 3 Complete!

This time we were at Teesside on the old school Grass! The team put a good layout down that was super quick for 2wd!

Just 2WD for me this time as the weather for Sunday and 4WD didn’t look brilliant and wet grass definitely isn’t my favourite surface to race on.

I managed to Qualify 2nd on the grid for the final after some really competitive qualifying which was super close. I managed to bring home P2 after a pretty uneventful final.

My Yokomo was on the money all day on the loose surface.

Now onto some car prep for the upcoming BRCA 1:10th Off Road Nationals Round 5 at Bury Metro RCC!!

BRCA 1:10th Off Road Nationals Round 4 at the always sunny Southport Radio Car Club Romeo Done!

The Southport team did an amazing job with the track and the Brca team ran a brilliant meeting!

2wd was Ace from start to finish. My was on the money all day. I really enjoyed the layout and my car was a dream to drive.

I managed to qualify 39th overall making my best result to date D final! Really pleased with this result as it makes all the hard work and effort put in worth it.

4wd was a little bit different. I struggled with the layout as it was totally different from the previous 2wd layout but ultimately it’s the same for everyone. My was really easy to drive but it’s a shame the driver behind the wheel kept making silly errors. I would finish G5 from 9th on the grid.

Batley Buggy Club Classic 2026!

The Batley team did an amazing job all day. The track was mega and the commentary from Fish 🐟 was brilliant!

Rear motor 2wd post 99 was ace. This class was super close between Me, Ross Barras and Jabber. All 3 of us battled it out all day during qualifying and the 2 leg finals. Qualifying would see a 0.69 second split between our three fastest times over a run which is insane!

With me and Jabber taking 2 TQs each and my time being 500ths of a seconds faster 🤯. I would take overall TQ. Both finals were super close bumper to bumper for the whole 5 minutes luckily I managed to hold my nerve and take the win in both legs. I can definitely say they were the best finals I’ve ever raced in.

2wd MOD again would be super close and I managed to take 2 of the 4 qualifying rounds to take overall TQ. And also had some awesome races with Mark Mitchell but I managed to win both finals to do the Double.

My rent-a-ride Bmax 2 was dialled all day. Cheers Ross! As usual my was on the money too.

BRCA 1:10th Off Road Nationals Round 3 Complete!

Robin Hood Raceway would hold round 3 and the team did an amazing job as both the 2 and 4wd layouts were super fun!

2wd: My was only the money from the start of the day. In round 1 of qualifying I managed to secure a 26 in round but unfortunately I wasn’t able to back this up as I couldn’t get another clean run in. I managed to line up 8th in the E and finish 46th overall so really happy with this result.

4wd: Again my was great all day. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get a clean run in throughout the day so I lined up 10th in the F final. Starting at the back of the grid I knew I had nothing to lose in the end I made my car super easy to drive and managed to work my way through the grid and finish P4 just missing out on my aim of top 50 overall I would finish 54th.

Well done to the team who was there at the weekend some great results achieved from all

BRCA North East Regionals Round 2 Complete!

NEAM held a brilliant race meeting and both layouts were totally different for both classes which is great to see!

4wd was a steady day. As it was my 2nd time at NEAM it took me a while to get to grips with track. As the day went on my got faster and faster with every run. I would finish 6th overall.

2wd was a mega day battling it out every run fighting for the top spot. Archie was ballistic in both classes but I managed to take TQ in round 2 paired up with a 2 in round from round 1 I would line up 2nd on the grid for the final. After a bobble early on Chris Foster RC got through to 2nd which dropped me back to have a mega battle for 3rd position. Unfortunately after I was drilled on the last lap I would bring home 4th.
Despite this my was on the money all day this was proven in qualifying!!

Well done to Archie Bowman RC for dominating all weekend!
