Our Couch 2 5k course started yesterday for those wanting to get into running.

Session number 1 from week 1 completed ✔️

It’s not too late to join up if you know of anybody who would like to be supported, alongside others in a quest to get up to running 5k.

We started the Guard of Honour a little while back, celebrating our marathon heroes achieving those well earned medals. The last five weeks have been busy for our tradition: Brighton, Manchester, London, Tempsey Track and Leeds all included in our superstars walk of fame 🏅

WHAT. A. DAY ❤️
Over 30 Harriers in our home city took on the Rob Burrow Marathon and the Leeds Half Marathon and a bunch load more come in to support too. A day of PB’s, endurance, tears and laughs when we created a sea of red across the city of Leeds yesterday 🏅

Hi Friendly Member of the Running Community

We are reaching out from Crossgates Harriers. We are thrilled to announce that we are organising our popular 10k (third occasion) race around Temple Newsam. The race starts and finishes at the Temple Newsam Running Track on 9th August 2026

We wanted to personally invite your members to join us. We know our local running community loves a good challenge, but we also love a good cause. All proceeds from this race are going to restoring the running track to ensure that it continues to be a free resource for everyone to use.

Not only is this a great chance to support a local cause, but we’ve also mapped out a stunning route that showcases the best of the Temple Newsam Estate including woodland trails, lakeside views and stunning vistas of the estate from the breaks within the trees.— It’s a beautiful course that we know your members will enjoy.

To ensure that we make this a family event, there will be a junior event that takes place just prior to the 10k

🏆RUNNER OF THE MONTH: APRIL🏆

This months ROTM went to Julie. Julie has been with the Harriers for many years and is always friendly, supportive, and encouraging to others. She trained incredibly hard for her marathon in Brighton, showing real dedication and commitment throughout. In the final few weeks of training, Julie faced some really difficult challenges but despite everything she still made it to the start line and went on to smash out an amazing 4:30 marathon finish. An absolutely fantastic achievement and a true display of strength and determination. Huge congratulations, Julie — thoroughly deserved! 👏🏻🏃‍♀️

⭐️HARRIERS HIGHLIGHTS - APRIL⭐️
It’s been a MARATHON of a month with members taking part in London, Blackpool, Manchester and Brighton. Miles and miles have been run there and also at Piglove by the river, Run for Wildlife 10k, Chievely Chase, Magaluf half, Burnsal half, Baildon Boundary Way half, London Landmarks half, Wild Deer Duathlon, Bramham Park 10k, Halifax 10k. We also threw in some club runs, Monday training and an Earth Day litter pick. Busy busy 🐝
