Focus is a skill, and these three boys were locked in. 👀🥋

We ask students to help demonstrate with us at the front of the class because being at the front builds confidence, understanding and leadership.

It gives them a closer look at the technique, while helping the rest of the class learn from a different perspective.

Most importantly, it encourages students to take an active role in their own learning.
We don’t just want students who can follow instructions. We want students who can understand, demonstrate, communicate and eventually help others learn too!

That’s how confidence, leadership and real martial arts knowledge are built. 👏👊💪

Respectful sparring means:

✅Controlling your power and technique.
✅Following the rules and listening to the instructor.
✅Keeping your partner safe.
✅Stopping immediately when asked.
✅Encouraging each other and giving useful feedback.
✅Bowing and thanking your partner afterwards.

A good sparring partner challenges you while still making sure both people leave the session safer, more skilled and more confident.

Was great to have the Lord Mayor visit our Leeds East Academy's stall at the Breeze Event in Roundhay Park!

He even got involved and punched through our break boards, a potential future black belt perhaps?.....🥋

These two ladies are seriously talented! They push each other, learn together and keep the standard high every time they step onto the mats. Keep it up 🥋
