KUGB 59th National Championships 2026
Members of Leeds Shotokan represented the club with spirit and determination at the KUGB National Championships in Nottingham.
We are so proud of everyone who represented us but we must give a special shout out to our National Champions in the individual Kumite events - Clark Wan, Olivia Bakun and Ethan Armstrong!
The day was topped off as the senior men’s Team of Ethan Armstrong, Jiannis Pachos, and Ethan Brown were victorious in the Senior Men’s Team Kumite event after an incredibly close final with an excellent Solihull team.
Ethan Armstrong was also presented with the Sensei Enoeda most outstanding award for best over 21 competitor.

KUGB NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS ARCHIVES 🥋
Today, we are taking everyone back to the 1996 National Championships, the KUGB's 30th year hosting this momentous event.
The Senior Male Individual Kumite Final, KUGB England's Sensei Randy Williams and KUGB Wales Sensei Kevin O'Neill compete for the gold medal with Sensei Randy taking home 1st place.
Medals being presented by Sensei Enoeda.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our awards evening on Sunday. Your generosity bringing food and gifts for the raffle was amazing. And huge congratulations to our award winners who have all worked incredibly hard in 2025. We raised £146 for St Gemma’s hospice in honour of Our late great Instructor Sensei Randolph Williams
