We’re running a Soft Ball Cricket Camp at Morley CC from 26-28 May (10am-3pm), and it’s going to be an amazing three days for children aged 5-10🏏

𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗼:

✅ Learn and develop cricket skills with qualified ECB Level 2 & 3 coaches
✅ Play cricket games, take on challenges, and compete for prizes
✅ Make new friends in a fun, safe, and welcoming environment
✅ Enjoy music, activities, and a whole lot of fun!
✅ No previous cricket experience needed
✅ Only need to bring a water bottle and a packed lunch

All coaches are DBS checked, Safeguarding trained, and First Aid trained - so you can drop them off knowing they’re in great hands🤝🏻

𝐀 𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐎𝐎𝐋 𝐎𝐑 𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐀 𝐆𝐈𝐌𝐌𝐈𝐂𝐊?🤔

We love testing out all sorts of apps and training aids. So we decided to try FullTrack AI on this young fast bowler.

We might get some stick for this as we know there are plenty of coaches and players that swear by this app whether that’s for reasons other than why we used it. For context, we were mainly using it to record and monitor speed, not using it for ball tracking and consistency purposes.

In all honesty it looks nice, looks very professional but the speed tracking is unreliable (in my opinion). The two balls you see in this clip were from the same session and only two balls apart. Whilst I’d love to have seen this bowler increase his speed by 12mph in the space of two balls and claim credit for it, I can’t. It’s not possible. You can see that there’s not 12mph difference in speed between those two clips.

I’ve worked with this player for a couple of years, he’s only 16 years old. He has been recorded previously (mid 70s) on a reliable speed tracking device so to jump to 86mph suddenly proves that the speed tracking capabilities of FullTrack AI are flawed and therefore unreliable.

Despite proving to be unreliable, a lot of players still believe the speed being recorded which can have a detrimental effect on their development with players thinking they’re quicker than they actually are or thinking they’ve suddenly lost pace or aren’t bowling at the same pace consistently.

We could have done a before and after or a bowling transformation video on how we increased this bowlers speed by 12mph but then we would be lying which goes against our character and integrity at Limitless Cricket Coaching.

With all that said, the app has other great features like ball tracking but I would love to see an app (even this app) be capable of providing accurate speed readings as there is definitely a demand for this and it has the potential to be a great tool for both players and coaches
