Weโ€™d originally booked some poster space around Leeds for a brand we stock, but the campaign fell through, so we thought weโ€™d do something ourselves.

sambarratt and I had vague memories of some old skate magazine photos, particularly a TransWorld Grant Brittain photo from early 2000. We were chatting about it in Galleria with Hilda Quick and Minnie Mearns and came up with the idea of getting some of the Leeds skate community together for something inspired by those photos. Sam also decided to have everyone filming Logan Rileyโ€™s trick on their phones, as a little nod to how skateboarding is documented these days.

We asked Reece Leung to shoot it and put the word out through friends and Instagram. We were a bit worried about getting enough people down for 10am, before the art gallery opened, but loads turned up and everyone seemed really stoked to be involved.

The photo came out so good and the posters look banging. Massive thanks to Reece for shooting it, everyone who came down, and Ben Powell for photographing all the posters in situ once they were up! - Tom Brown
