We’re still reflecting on last week’s Leeds Sports Awards with Sport Leeds and all the amazing people we had the pleasure of meeting and celebrating with.
What a night celebrating the individuals, clubs, and communities who make sport in Leeds so special.

Our final award of the night is the Lifetime Achievement Award, and this year we are proud to recognise two very worthy recipients.
Congratulations to Lizzie Deignan MBE 🏆
One of Britain’s most successful cyclists, Lizzie’s outstanding career includes Olympic and World Championship success, multiple World Tour victories, and a historic Paris–Roubaix Femmes win. Her achievements and determination have inspired generations within the sport.
We also celebrate Leeds-born Danny Care 🏆
Following an exceptional career with Harlequins and England, Danny retires as one of the most respected figures in English rugby, with over 350 club appearances, more than 90 England caps, and a Six Nations Grand Slam to his name.
Two remarkable careers. Two truly deserving Lifetime Achievement Award recipients.
