With the season now over for the Oak, we can announce Brad White will be stepping down as manager from the summer.

Brad is due to relocate with his family over the coming months and puts a pin in what has been in a hugely successful time with him in charge.

The Oak have won the West Riding County Trophy twice (2024 & 2025) & the Leeds Combi Div 2 league title last season ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†
As well as getting to the Leeds District Cup final, only to lose on pens that night. In addition to a Luty Cup semi-final & Challenge Cup QF spot has shown how far the club has improved in the last three seasons.

Bradโ€™s helped change the fortunes of the club. From mid-table in Div 2 to now competing well in Div 1, set for the third placed finish, and trophies to enjoy on the way ๐Ÿ‘

He has also picked up 81 appearances for the club since he joined back in 2019 and will be a big miss to the Oak next season.

We thank him for all his efforts on and off the pitch! ๐Ÿ™Œ

๐Ÿค Kris Johnson & Luke Holden are to be the new joint-managers for the 2026/27 season.

Both players have been with the club for a number of years and will now step into a player manager role.

โœ… We are set for a third placed finish for the 2025/26 season, which is a great achievement having been new to the Leeds Combi Division 1.

๐Ÿ”ข From the stats, Reuben Young ends the season as the clubโ€™s Top Scorer with 12 goals. Will Harling leads the Assists (8) and most Man of the Matchโ€™s (3) as well ๐Ÿ‘

A good three points to end the season on a high! ๐Ÿ‘

Nothing too pretty in some terrible windy conditions, but we played well the first half and had far the better chances.

Ben Weir headed wide from inside the six yard box and Will Harling fired a few long range efforts that were well saved.

We finally took a deserved lead through Jordan Harrison-Rennie with good instinct to poke home from a scramble in the six yard box. 0-1.

Second half, against the wind we still created good chances, but were pretty wasteful. Credit to Kurdistan, they stayed in the game and put the Oak defence under plenty of pressure; albeit without any clear cut chances.

Kurdistan equalised in the last ten minuties against the run of the play with a decent finish.

We re-took the lead with a minute to go as Thomas Bramley was fouled by the keeper for a penalty. Ben stepped up to stroke the penalty home to seal the 3 points ๐Ÿ™Œ

A good 4-3 win today over North West to make it back-to-back league wins๐Ÿ™Œ

3-1 up at HT in a half were clinical in and made mistakes pay. Jordan Harrison-Rennie with the first as his left footed strike the NW GK got a hand to, but couldnโ€™t keep out.

NW levelled from close range after a flick on from a long throw. 1-1.
They had a few more good openings, but didnโ€™t make much real threat on goal.

Kris Johnson gave us the lead with a back post header from a great Leighton Stanger corner 2-1. Ben Wier then finished off a quick counter attack, as he poked home from a good Jordan pass. 3-1.

Second half, we had a comfortable first 15 or so, only under pressure from several set-pieces or long throws.

Ben made it 4-1 with a clinical first time finish, after the ball fell to him after Jordan had harried the GK into a mistake.

NW did get back into the game as a poor clearance found their midfielder, who skipped past a couple challenges and finished well. 4-2.

From there, we had to dig deep and defend well. It did go 4-3 with 5 seconds left, but we left with a deserved three points ๐Ÿ’ช

Hard fought 2-1 win over second in the league, Kippax Old Boys today ๐Ÿ’ช

Fantastic defending towards the end saw us hold out for a big three points.

First half was fairly even with Kippax maybe edging it on the ball, but not causing GK Dan too much to do.

We had the chance to take the lead after 20โ€™ with a penalty. Jordan Harrison-Rennie saw his effort saved well by the Kippax GK.

Other chances went begging when Jordanโ€™s outside the foot shot was deflected just wide and a header was tipped over from a corner.

HT 0-0.

Second half we started better and had more of the ball, but lacked quality in front of goal.

Kippax made that pay with a great strike from a tight angle hitting the bar and in. 0-1.

We kicked on again, putting pressure on, and a poor clearance found Will Harling on the edge of the box. The midfielder took a touch and fired it into the side netting to bring us level. 1-1.

Kippax kept looking a danger on the counter and from set-pieces as they were scrambled away by the Oak.

In the latter stages, a long throw bounced into the path of Ben Weir, who swivelled and found the bottom corner. 2-1.

We held out well to now go fourth in the table and look upwards towards the top three with two games left.

UP NEXT ๐ŸŒณ | Final home game of the season as we look to get back to winnings ways against Kippax Old Boys.

A good side that are in the running for promotion means weโ€™ll need to be on it from the first whistle compared to last weekโ€™s start.

Kippax have drawn their last two games, but before that were on a five game winning run in the league.

The Oak currently sit in 4th with a win vital to close the gap on the third spot.

๐Ÿ‘ Will Harling was voted Man of the Match from Sundayโ€™s game, after a brilliant second half that saw him score and get an assist.

4-2 defeat today to the league leaders in the cliche game of two halves.

First half we were all at sea. Looked like a side that hadnโ€™t played for weeks and handed Drig two goals in the opening 15 after defensive mishaps.

Dan Smith made a fantastic pen save to stop it going 3-0. Only for the home side to capitalise again on a mix-up to deservedly extend their lead 10mins later.

Second half, we showed more fight and looked a different team. A great spell saw us bag two to make it 3-2. The first, after good work from Luke Holden at the byline, eventually found Will Harling to fire into the roof of the net from 8 yards out.
The second, a good move was finished off by Reuben Young bending one into the side netting from the left.

However, Drig delivered a sucker-punch to make it 4-2 just four minutes after weโ€™d scored.

From there, we didnโ€™t quite create the clear cut chances to make the scoreline closer, despite a decent second half performance.
