Match Report: Interlink CC 1st XI vs Leeds Super Kings CC 1st XI
Interlink CC 1st XI won the toss and elected to bat first on a fresh surface on a hot sunny day. Their innings got off to a disastrous start as Leeds Super Kings struck regularly with the new ball, reducing Interlink to 36/6 and putting them firmly on the back foot.
With the innings in danger of collapsing, Raza Ali and M Imran produced a match-defining partnership, showing composure and determination under pressure. The pair rebuilt the innings superbly, rotating the strike and capitalising on scoring opportunities to drag Interlink back into the contest. Their stand completely shifted the momentum and laid the platform for a competitive total.
M Imran went on to top-score with a brilliant 60 from 87 balls, including nine fours and a six, while Raza Ali contributed an invaluable 43 from 61 deliveries, striking five fours and a six. Useful late-order contributions from N Chunara (16), A Ditta (15*) and T Data (16*) helped Interlink reach 181 all out in 45 overs.
Leeds Super Kings battled hard with the ball, with V Deena Kumar claiming 3 wickets and R Attuluru taking 2 wickets, while the rest of the attack chipped in with key breakthroughs.
Chasing 182 for victory, Leeds Super Kings never quite recovered from losing early wickets. M Veerasamy top-scored with 18, J Manimuthu made 15 and M Kumar added 16, but wickets continued to fall at regular intervals.
Interlink’s bowlers shared the workload effectively. M Pandor was the pick of the attack with 4 for 37, while M Imran claimed 2 wickets. R Ali and Y Bismillah also picked up two wickets each as Leeds Super Kings were dismissed for 98 in 27.4 overs.
The fielding performance was equally impressive, with Irfan producing two outstanding one-handed catches, both genuine blinders that lifted the team and removed key opposition batsmen at crucial moments. His athletic efforts were among the highlights of the match and reflected the high standards set by the Interlink fielding unit throughout the day.
After recovering from 36/6 through the crucial partnership between Raza Ali and M Imran, Interlink completed an excellent all-round performance to secure an emphatic 83-run victory over Leeds Super Kings CC.

*Interlink CC Fall to defeat in a gripping quarter final cup clash*
Interlink CC 1st XI were involved in a gripping Paper Pool Mills Cup encounter that ultimately slipped away in the final overs, as Leeds Caribbean CC 1st XI completed a determined chase to win by three wickets. After winning the toss and choosing to bat, Interlink built their innings around a superb performance from I Jamadar, whose composed 74 anchored the side from the top. He showed patience and control throughout, holding the innings together while partners came and went. Useful contributions from M Memi, A Sheikh, and M Pandor helped Interlink reach 184 all out, a total boosted by 27 extras but one that still felt competitive on a surface offering something for both batters and bowlers.
Defending the total, Interlink began strongly with the ball. A Sheikh delivered an excellent spell, taking three wickets and applying constant pressure. A Ditta and M Memi chipped in with two wickets each, helping reduce Leeds Caribbean to 123‑7 and putting Interlink firmly in control. At that stage, the momentum was entirely with the fielding side, who were energetic, disciplined, and sensing a decisive breakthrough.
However, Leeds Caribbean’s lower order showed impressive composure under pressure. M Idris and A Khan combined for a calm, measured partnership that slowly wrestled the game away from Interlink. Their shot selection was controlled, their running sharp, and their temperament steady as they guided their team to 185 with an over to spare. It was a frustrating finish for Interlink, who had created opportunities throughout but were unable to find the final wicket when it mattered most.
Despite the narrow defeat, there were plenty of positives for Interlink to take forward. Jamadar’s innings was a standout effort worthy of Player of the Match, the bowling unit showed discipline and threat. With small improvements in closing out tight situations and building on promising partnerships, Interlink look well‑placed to bounce back strongly in upcoming fixtures.

Match Report: Interlink CC 1st XI v Leeds Gladiators 1st XI
Century for Irfan Jamadar and Hat-Trick for Yunus Bismillah leads Interlink to victory
Interlink CC 1st XI made full use of winning the toss, electing to bat first and posting an imposing 286 all out from 45 overs. Their innings was built around a magnificent century from I. Jamadar, who anchored the innings with a superb 105 from 133 balls, including 13 fours and 2 sixes. Valuable support came from R. Ali (38 off 24), M. Memi (29), M. Nazir (27) and N. Chunara (26 off just 12 balls), helping Interlink accelerate through the middle and latter stages. Extras also contributed 27 runs as Interlink set Leeds Gladiators a challenging target of 287.
In reply, Leeds Gladiators never quite managed to keep pace with the required rate despite A. Soorma’s aggressive 64 from 48 balls, featuring seven fours and four sixes. Earlier contributions from B. Patel (38) and S. Ray Yadav (25) gave the visitors a platform, but Interlink’s bowlers steadily tightened their grip on the match.
The standout moment of the afternoon came from Yunus Bismillah, who produced a match-defining spell and claimed an outstanding hat-trick. After dismissing K. Minawala, Yunus struck with the very next deliveries to remove M. Patel and then M. Kasireddy, reducing Leeds from a competitive 120-4 to 120-7 in dramatic fashion. The hat-trick completely shifted the momentum in Interlink’s favour and left Leeds with too much to do.
Yunus finished with excellent figures of 3 for 57, while R. Ali was equally influential with 4 for 38, cleaning up the middle and lower order. M. Imran chipped in with two wickets and bowled economically, conceding just 29 runs from his 12 overs.
Leeds were eventually dismissed for 187 in 36.4 overs, handing Interlink CC a convincing 99-run victory. While Jamadar’s century laid the foundations for success, it was Yunus Bismillah’s sensational hat-trick that proved the decisive moment and will be remembered as the highlight of a dominant all-round team performance.
