Last Sunday, the ladies played an away friendly against Halifax in tough weather conditions. Halifax had a few early chances, but Jodie made some excellent saves. Unfortunately, the deadlock broke, with the ladies letting their guard slip . In the first half, the team was faced with several injuries, and with limited subs available, the ladies persisted and gave their all for the team. It was a challenging match, but after the break, we came out stronger and defended much more effectively. Despite the setbacks, we kept fighting until the final whistle.

The game finished 10-0 against a very strong and talented side, and although the result was not what we hoped or wanted, the ladies held their heads high and look forward to our next fixture this Sunday.

The ladies are back in action today, away against Halifax Friendly. 💥

Joint POM for our 2 CBs on Sunday!

In an exciting league shield match, Shadwell faced off against Lower Hopton Development, a team from the league above, marking the ladies' first game back in action after a break. From the start, the performance was commendable, with every player showing great effort throughout the match. Notably, Kitty made her debut performance, showcasing her skills and energy, which added to the team's dynamic.

The opening showcased a fierce battle between both teams, but Lower Hopton managed to take the lead with a cross and a tap in from their striker. Shortly followed was a great shot from outside the box from their defender. However, Shadwell fought back when Sinead seized her opportunity, skillfully evading the last defender and slotting the ball into the net, bringing the score to 2-1.

The second half saw Shadwell come out with renewed energy, and Rhian, making a bold move from defense, struck an absolute screamer from outside the box, leveling the score at 2-2. The ladies continued to push for a winner, but unfortunately, Lower Hopton found the net again, sealing the match with a late goal. Overall, it was a thrilling game full of excitement and determination from the Shadwell team.
