⛳ The art of course management: How to score better at Garforth.

Golf isn't just about how far you hit it. It's about knowing when to take a risk, when to play safe and, just as importantly, where you can afford to miss.

At Garforth, there's often a safe option off the tee, but taking on a little more risk could leave you with an easier approach. Around the greens, knowing where NOT to miss can save you valuable shots.

From avoiding trouble on the 4th to tackling the challenges of the 5th, we've put together some tips to help you think your way around the course and make better decisions on every hole.

⭐ Thank you to Leslie for the lovely review!

“Wife and I really enjoyed the course. Well kept course that made you think.”

Great to hear you both enjoyed your round! ⛳

If you're looking for a course that rewards good course management as much as good shot-making, why not come and experience Garforth for yourself?

👏 A brilliant season for our Sixes squad!

A huge well done to all our juniors, who finished 3rd in the league after six games.

While the results are something to be proud of, the real success has been seeing everyone enjoy competitive golf, develop their skills and make lots of new friends along the way.

It’s fantastic to see the clubhouse full of smiling faces, with everyone enjoying themselves and building friendships through the game.

Hopefully, we’re watching the next generation of team players and future Garforth members! 💚

Well done, everyone! 🏌️‍♂️

⛳ At 441 yards from the back tees, the long Par 4 15th sits right in the middle of one of the toughest finishing stretches in Yorkshire.

Two well-struck shots are needed to reach the green, but finding the fairway is only the start of the challenge. Out of Bounds runs along the left, trees line the right, and your second shot must climb uphill over Carr Beck, just 80 yards short of the green.

A huge oak tree guards the left side of the approach, making position off the tee crucial. Find the green and you'll still need to navigate its back-to-front slope, with a greenside bunker waiting to catch anything that drifts right.

A fantastic golf hole that demands accuracy and a little nerve — get it wrong, and it can quickly become a card wrecker! 🌳

World Mental Health Day 💚

Today is a reminder to look out for the people around us and to make time for a conversation.

Golf has always been about more than just the game. It’s time outdoors, a chance to switch off, catch up with friends and spend a few hours away from the pressures of everyday life.

So today (and every other day), check in with someone. Ask how they’re doing, make time for a chat, or simply invite them out for a round.

You never know how much a little company might mean.
