Today is EUROVISION πΆπ·πΈπΊπ₯πͺ but is also the day that Joel Rhule-Samuel ran the whole LCW, yes, the full LCW loop, 100km.
He did it to raise money for Maggie's Yorkshire , and he went above his own target.
MAGGIES is a charity that supports people facing cancer, and they definitely will be able to keep helping with this money raised today.
You can still donate here if you feel like you can contribute πͺπͺπ°

Joel's day started super early, waking up at 4.30am, and starting his journey at Golden Acre Park car park, setting of at 5.30am.
He finished it just after 8pm. LONG DAYYYYY out and about.
He, luckily, got many friends and family supporting him. Cheerleading, food, drinks, providing the mental encouragement, running with him, all the logistics, etc. A huge team effort.
Abbey Runners - Leeds organised themselves to cover all the legs with him, taking turns on each leg handover. He didn't run a single leg on his own.
Thank you Thomas Rogerson Simon Jones Liam Jenkins Charlotte Knowles Andrea Cobo IbÑñez and Tom Bysouth for all the support.
Now ready for bed.
CONGRATULATIONS ππππππ

No stopping Abbeys in the run up to Christmas π
Firstly, the annual lights run around Golden Acre Park (with chocolate elves!) and then over 40 Abbeys out on Thursday split between the city centre lights run and the joint seasonal session with our friends at Leeds Bradford Tri Club, and then a great turn out for the joint milestone Parkrun at Roundhay π
