West Yorkshire Junior Hockey

WY u14 girls were in fine form on the finals day of their season competition. They defeated Northumberland 1-0 and North Y 4-1 to finish top and complete the season undefeated. Great season all round 👏🏑👏🏑

WY u14 boys in action today in final competition of the season. A 1-0 loss to Durham was followed up with wins against South Y & Northumberland and a draw with North Y 👏🏑👏🏑

WY u13 Boys were in action today in a revised league format with couple teams not able to participate ).
A team - Won 5, Drew 1
B team - Won 1, Drew 1, Lost 4.
Some great play and plenty of work-ons for training before they return for final comp of season in June

WY u13 Girls today were outstanding in very warm conditions showing fantastic commitment and team play.
A team - played 5, won 5, scored 32, conceded 4
B team - played 6, won 5, lost 1, scored 28, conceded 3.

U12 girls results / standings from 2nd May. Next competition day 31st May

WY u13 girls were both in league A for the April competition. Our A team were undefeated and took top spot whilst our B team had a fantastic day but just missed out ( on goal difference ) on retaining their league A position ( but they’ll be back !!)

WY u13 boys were in action on 25th April. A team finishing 2nd in league A and B team 3rd in league B. They go again on Sunday

10 years ago …. WY boys at a competition day. Only players who wore the green shirts ( that rarely fitted ! ) know how much they weighed if it rained !!

WY u14&15 boys in action this weekend..
U14 Won 1, Drew 1, Lost 2 - awaiting league table before next competition day.
U15 Lost 2 final league games and drew 3rd/4th placement game - narrowly missed out on qualification for regional finals.
